A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙 🩵

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Sorry!

That was for the visitor!

You deserve proper toast!

😁 Lashings of butter and some naice jam. Food of the gods.

I see Cambell is saying Starmer et al need to stand for something - that’s the thing, they do stand for something, but its unpopular, it’s a high tax
low growth society with state creep, that has very little to offer anyone that doesn’t want to rely on or have much faith in the government to run organisations or their lives.

Edited

He also said that he thought Kemi had found her voice in the last few weeks and was doing well. For him to even admit that is pretty big news.

TheNuthatch · 11/02/2026 12:22

Also a bollocking from the speaker for Starmer for discussing a live case (whilst not answering a question from SNP).

The Labour MPs are unbearable. How can they defend him?

They don't even try much any more, do they? Just lick their wounds with talk of how awful Reform would be.

angelos02 · 11/02/2026 12:25

The only people Labour seem to serve are those that rely on the state. If you are self-sufficient, they'll tax you to the hilt.

EasternStandard · 11/02/2026 12:27

Go on Kemi, a woman taking a man to task. Labour will still have apologists of course no matter what. On here too. So bad.

Defending him to keep their jobs maybe?

Ed Davey:-

"To appoint one paedophile supporter cannot be excused as misfortune. To appoint two shows a catastrophic lack of judgement,"

Of course. Nothing else matters to them, even appointing paedophile supporters.
They'll be out of a job in 2029 either way.

Answered a YouGov poll today.
They still don’t recognise Reform as a political party despite their several MPS..

Nice he’s gone up in my estimation. All the talk of a ‘left coalition’ on here after next GE. I don’t think so. Good on him.

😁 How odd.

Anyone who puts their party leader on a pedestal is a fool. No matter what colour their rosette.

Shame he thinks women can have a penis.

Got to love his nod to Oscar Wilde there though.

Don’t you just love ‘anti-populism’.

It brought us Brexit, and Trump.

The Labour-apologists ignore it at their peril.

EasternStandard · 11/02/2026 11:56

Listening now. God he’s right isn’t he. On the VAT nonsense and jury trials. Good on him.

Reassuring to know that not all Labour MPs are useless sycophants!

DancingFerret · 11/02/2026 14:08

Today's PMQs for anyone missed it. When you see the exchanges between Badenoch and Starmer in print you realise how weak KS really is; his real strength, such as it is, lies in deflection.

Starmer squirms like a lawyer who knows his case is hopeless

Badenoch did not miss with her skewering of the embattled PM in the Commons

CaveMum · 11/02/2026 14:09

BBC reporting that The Times ran an article on Matthew Doyle 2 weeks before he took up his peerage so Starmer’s excuse of not having a full account doesn’t fly.

At this point you might actually start feeling a bit sorry for them given their complete inability to get things right. Well maybe not that sorry!

Surely as a barrister, Starmer should know better than that?

I have a feeling barristers everywhere cringe when Starmer speaks.

SpaceRaccoon · 11/02/2026 14:29

So Starmer brought up his brother, who died in poverty, as an attempt to garner sympathy... but given that he's a man of means, why wasn't he helping him then?

He’s borderline pathological.

Here’s another easy catch for you to fluff, Starmer.

Keir Starmer appears rattled amid Commons criticism of Doyle peerage.
