A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙 🩵

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

🙄 Oh, here we go. We always have visitors when Labour hit the skids. Go take your frustration elsewhere.

They are a breath of fresh air compared to the Tories, and they are still crap.
They have done a lot of positives but right wing media never tells you.
This country is becoming full of right wing mugs. They are the magas of the UK.

Upstartled · 11/02/2026 11:31

Right wing media. 😁 I think we are already at bingo. Well played snakebite.

0 to 100 in a few posts. Labour must be in the shite.

Upstartled · 11/02/2026 11:39

Yeah. We'll get more of that before Starmer hangs up his gifted hat.

redange · 11/02/2026 11:39

Quite beyond belief More In Common have Labour gaining 2 points from the Libdems to take them to 23% up to the 10th Feb. Reform 30% (0) Labour 23% (+2) Libdems 12% (-2) Greens 10% (0).

Kemi needs to come out against Starmer and his 'Working Class' Shite and ask him what his first job was. An internship perhaps after Surrey council paid the fees for his 6th form place and he was seen as some sought of gifted pupil. It was not a job down the 'Pit' nor a YTS or something arranged by the Labour Exchange...

This, of cause was in the 1970's when two options were available for bright children Direct Grammar Schools and the Assisted Places Scheme. The, dropping of the Assisted Places Scheme by the Blair Government being the Appetizer for the introduction of VAT on Private Schools some 27 years later. The wanton destruction of Educational opportunities for those who do not subscribe for Comprehensive Schooling is complete for the time being. The final nail in the coffin being the abolition of the 163 English Grammar Schools perhaps being a little bit more difficult, than the Blair Project /Starmergeddon assumed it would be..

I'm not so sure she needs to. The only people who put any stock in that narrative are unwilling to change their opinion based on simple facts. And as for everybody else, he fuels this on-running joke that exposes his willingness to cosplay as working class and his complete lack of substance as a real person with a real identity, values and opinions.

It's telling that they've had an upward nudge when people have their fingers crossed that there might be a change. Give them a week to see it's just more of the same and it will fall again.

But I thought Starmer was ‘working class’ again? I mean, he says he is - he removed his tie and rolled up his sleeves.

I mean, his father was a tool-maker, don’t you know.

One phrase Starmer uses which drives me crackers is “He / she is of Working Class Stock”. Partly because it makes me think of livestock but mainly because pretty much everyone is of working class stock. Until the last century, there were hardly any middle class people - so unless someone is an aristocrat, they will be from Working Class Stock. I know I am.

Sorry for the pedantry.

DiySteve · 11/02/2026 11:53

I missed the deleted post - probably just as well.

So, the ‘right wing media’ makes policy, not the left wing government…

Got it.

If anyone needs cheering up, yesterday's Daily T pod is worth a listen.
They interview Karl Turner (Labour MP). Obviously he has a lot to say about the batshit plans to end jury trials, but he is also scathing about PS Vat and the farmers tax.

Listening now. God he’s right isn’t he. On the VAT nonsense and jury trials. Good on him.

TheNuthatch · 11/02/2026 11:56

Right wing media 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

He's good isn't he! I'd be v worried if they put him in No.10.

Incredible. He’s so good and he’s right about losing his job unless Labour work out how to get consent like Blair did.

They don’t have that. I agreed with all his speaking. Good one

Maybe you can drown your sorrows in some soggy toast? Seeing as that might be the only achievement I can think of.

Can't believe he yelled at Davey like that. Like kicking Dobby the House Elf.

He’s hopeless. He’s so fucked 😬

He really doesn’t get his hated he is. Kemi is on form, enjoying it as she makes mince meat of him. The same old I didn’t know about paedophile association BS.

Although it is so unbearable not sure I can get through his shite entirely. Times Radio analysis helps.

You deserve proper toast!

Upstartled · 11/02/2026 12:18

Kemi did do well. Don't think I've ever seen Starmer be so angry. Think he got another ee on 'sheeeeee' today.
