Best wishes to your DS @itsgettingweird.
Sounds very worrying - fingers crossed for a rapid recovery 💐

Exactly what Grumpy says itsgettingweird.

Evenstar · 19/02/2026 10:55

Hope he gets the right treatment quickly and feels better @itsgettingweird 💐

BIWI · 19/02/2026 11:02

Sorry to hear about your DS @itsgettingweird - hope everything gets sorted for him Flowers

DuncinToffee · 19/02/2026 11:05

Timely reminder

I'd forgotten how vociferous Boris Johnson was in defence of Prince Andrew as the Epstein scandal started to rattle the iron railings of Buckingham Palace.

Here he is in 2015 1/2

Hope your DS is ok @itsgettingweird
Re the Andrew formerly known as Prince - Al Capone was done for tax evasion. I’ll take misconduct as a starter.

For some fun, watch the Olympic ski mountaineering (Skimo)

If the lights go out tomorrow, I want the Skimo team on my side.

That's a positive update @itsgettingweird . He's in good hands now and sitting up is progress x

Forwarding trade/security information to interested parties - pretty open and shut case for Norfolk Constabulary I would think.
Didn't Braverman get sacked once for forwarding classified information?

If he’s prosecuted there’s a very strong case for prosecuting Mandelson too.

I'm very surprised that Mandy has not been nicked

I thought she "resigned" from Boris' Cabinet and was reappointed by Sunak in order to protect himself from the fascist element of the Tories.

Bedford Council dealing with bigots

No suggestions for the title but Nicaea should definitely feature. (I feel, horribly, that putting Ramadan in the title will sadly bring squirrels.)

I’m sat watching it in a and e!

Good fun learning about AMW whilst here and nice to see the sediment has been very strong for it going about time!

DS is violently shaking and says he feels cold so I think he has an infection (his infection markers are slightly raised).

You are right. She forwarded highly sensitive information (market sensitive) and resigned.
As a matter of interest I checked and she forwarded 290 government documents to her private email account.

They need to get the warm water blanket on him. So calming. @itsgettingweird x

it's not just the stupidity of the original post - its the dumbass likes and hearts.

I bet they consider themselves 'defending the faith'.

A shame then that they don’t understand Easter timings - the biggest event for Christians.
I’m not particularly, but know this, and also particularly dislike this fake Christianity - not quite as much as I dislike the stupidity evidenced daily to try and support hatred - makes me despair.
My relative in Oz told me they’ve stopped worrying about defending their views as the people (not quite the word used) are too stupid to learn.

Oh poor lad. My fil used to get bladder infections related to his HSP.

I think folk generally expect (and want) Mandelson prosecuted- I said on another thread that would be difficult without prosecuting AMW - same other way around too - wonder what outcome there will be. Probably at least AMW will learn to sweat so there’s that.

LittleBowSheep · 19/02/2026 11:54

@itsgettingweird hope your son has a speedy recovery.

SerendipityJane · 19/02/2026 13:45

fake Christianity

But what exactly is a "Christian". It seems to be a religion that can be observed entirely in the negative.

Here are some of the things that DO NOT make you Christian:

  • knowledge of the bible
  • observing any Christian festivals
  • Attending (any) church
  • being baptised
  • being christened
  • obeying the commandments AND/OR
  • knowing there are more than 10 😀

because you can overlay that list onto Stephen Yaxley-Lennon yet he still gets to say he's christian.

(If any posters want to play along in this game, feel free to post anything else that isn't needed for someone to call themselves a Christian and get away with it).

By contrast, how many people who would not call themselves Christian could tick some or all of those boxes ?

countrygirl99 · 19/02/2026 13:49

My favourite question of anyone on a this is a Christian country rant is "when did you last attend church other than for a wedding, christening or funeral". Guaranteed to change the subject.

PickAChew · 19/02/2026 13:57

A true Christian would know that the ten commandments are so BC.
