cardibach · 15/02/2026 19:04

I’m mostly gutted nobody got me into skeleton as a kid. It seems to require lying down and relaxing, both things I’m good at 🤣

Me too. I’ve been desperate to try it or the bobsleigh since seeing John Noakes on the Cresta run.

John Noakes is responsible for a lot of risky behaviour I reckon.

Morning all. This popped up in my FB feed. What is wrong with these people?

Good morning! Two things @PandoraSocks spring to mind. Either Farage has no control or he doesn't care. Mindful it could be both.

cardibach · 16/02/2026 10:40

Bloody hell! What in earth did they think they were disrupting? What made them feel so violently about a meeting regarding pensions?

placemats · 16/02/2026 10:42

Yes it's shocking and Jake Edwards is right to highlight it in his very measured response.

DuncinToffee · 16/02/2026 12:58

Woohoo another gold medal for NL, 1000m shorrttrack women.

Reform keep showing their true colours, will people pay attention?

Here is Goodwin again

Reform's candidate Matthew Goodwin challenged for calling it "insane" to prosecute a man for "start the slaughter. Violence & murder is the only way now. Start off burning every migrant hotel then head to MPs’ houses & Parliament, we need to take over by FORCE’
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/reform-matt-goodwin-nigel-farage-election-b2920781.html

Reform say objecting to the prosecution is not the same thing as endorsing the views 🤔

OP posts:
placemats · 16/02/2026 13:08

Of course it's endorsement of views. Does Matt think the voters in Gorton and Denton are stupid?

Rhetorical question.

PandoraSocks · 16/02/2026 13:32

Someone started a thread about the launch of Restore Britain. They were clearly a vile racist. The thread ran for quite a while, but MNHQ has now taken it down due to "concerns about the poster".

The good thing is it had a huge amount of pushback.

I was just answering a post - and it had gone - I expect some on here reported so thank you - it was abhorrent.

Both. Undoubtedly.

I think there is a collective soreness within Reform that they weren't given a platform at the Miners' Gala.

DuncinToffee · 16/02/2026 13:35

I didn't see that particular one but there are still a few running alongside the less obvious ones

I was mid post on that vile thread when the thread was deleted.
I expect some will assume Sharia Law demanded its removal 🤣🤣🤣

PandoraSocks · 16/02/2026 13:53

It really is a bingo card. Sharia law. most popular name for baby boys Muhammed. No go areas. Wales banning dogs was a good 'un. Some of the more brazen posters weaponise FGM and the hypocrisy makes me sick.

DuncinToffee · 16/02/2026 15:02

UK government is confirming it’s dropped plans to delay local elections at 30 English councils

Following legal advice, the Government has withdrawn its original decision to postpone 30 local elections in May.

Providing certainty to councils about their local elections is now the most crucial thing and all local elections will now go ahead in May 2026.”

I am sure it will be described as a u-turn rather than a legal action.

Farage will declare it a victory for him!

Eta: oh, he already is!

Edited

As you predicted.Farage is blaming Labour and the Tories. The Tories are blaming, er, Angela Rayner and have called it a u-turn several times in case the dim witted are listening.
