Dorries is full of shit. Did she conveniently forget that she was part of the last government that fucked the country over?

These people are fucking arrogant if they think we are stupid enough to buy their snake oil. The third rate Jilly Cooper needs to get back under her rock.

What’s your feeling about Goodwin, Peterson and this statement?

I don’t like any of these people. Full stop.

I'd have hoped you may have had more to say about Goodwin/Reform and their sordid attempts at sexualising children.... but maybe Reform promise better farm subsidy, so the rest of their policies don't matter.....

As @LlynTegid said, if men were better, some women may want to have children with them.

You obviously haven’t heard that Jilly Cooper died last October? I agree with you about Dorries, though.

Reeves is getting braver

UK Chancellor Rachel Reeves: “The future of our economy, security, resilience and defence is bound with Europe. Closer alignment isn't about choosing sides - it's about geography. “

The UK government's decision to ban Palestine Action as a terrorist group has been ruled unlawful by the High Court

Tricky one for the rw media to spin. Crowing about another "defeat for Starmer" might not play well with their audience in this particular case. Frothing about "evil judges overturning our government's decisions" would be a difficult one, too.

From David Allen Green

This means that even if Palestine Action had not won on Human Rights Act/ECHR grounds, Palestine Action would have won on another ground.

No doubt this will be missed by a lot of media reporting of this judgment, but even if HRA repealed etc, Palestine Action would have still won.

I look forward to slew of threads trying to work this decision into Mumsnet life (which can be Parklife at times).

Much as there was a blooming of threads about WFH following Lord Farages musings.

My subsidy is administered by the Scottish government. Nothing to do with Westminster.

derxa · 13/02/2026 11:27

And following on from that I can understand why Anas Sarwar did what he did.

  1. The left wing government deliberately caused this result as part of their agenda

2.The left wing government are so incompetent and weak they are letting the even more left wing crazy political judges set the agenda. They need to be firmer and crack down on the courts like we would of we were in power. You can whine about the independent judiciary all you want, it's clear it's allowing our enemies to destabilise this country.

Very good. I think no. 2 will be pinched by the Telegraph!

Bloody hell that’s weak. He sounded like he was making it up as he went along anyway - stuttered whenever he was asked for more detail. And in the end nothing happened or even looked like it would. Nadhim, mate, the pavement by a tired man is safer than the middle of the road…

PandoraSocks · 13/02/2026 13:30

"He looked as though he hadn't slept in about a week"

"He looked like somebody who might be violent".

He is totally making it up.

eta: did Zahawi have these concerns about his safety in London before he joined Reform?

cardibach · 13/02/2026 13:35

I mean, I’m 61 and not a ‘big bloke’. I’ve got a fair punch from training but you wouldn’t know that to look at me. I look like an over weight woman getting on in years (because I am). I seem to be able to walk round London without fearing for my life - after dark too.
