I have a friend who keeps telling me Starmer should go because he’s so hated. Herevidenc3 for this is comments on Facebook posts. The proven use of bots seems to have passed her by. She’s a Labour voter in a red wall seat. She’s also tried saying I won’t hear it living where I do - forgetting I’m right by the Valleys and I definitely do hear it. I just know it’s noise, not signal.

Remember that the right wing aren't bothered when reality intrudes into their propaganda. In fact in a perverse way (as you'd expect) they welcome it. Because they know that where the right hand side of the bell curve will do the hard work to investigate and analyse to determine the situation, the equivalent left hand side will just swallow the idea that somehow a shadowy cabal that is ranged against their interests is suppressing "the truth". With a painful irony that they are 100% correct about one thing and 100% wrong about the other.

Lib Dems big announcement today is a plan to replace Treasury with new Department for Growth based in Birmingham.

That yellow thing in the sky is playing peekaboo here at the moment, now you see it, now you don't.

You certainly can’t here now - it’s pissing it down!

PickAChew · 11/02/2026 17:04

Still pissing down here, too and we have flood alerts for the Wear. It's not that high, yet, but rising rapidly. DS2 arrived home half an hour ago and I put my head out the door to let him in and, like any self respecting cat, pulled it straight back inside when a big, cold drop of water landed on it! 🤯

Jim Ratcliffe says the UK has been colonised by immigrants.... someone should remind Ratcliffe where is he lives and is domiciled in Monaco for tax purposes.

He claimed pop. of UK was 58m in 2020, now 70m... he cannot even get his facts right, it was 66m and the 4m who have come here since, came here as a result of the fucking Brexit this clown campaigned for.

DuncinToffee · 11/02/2026 17:07

His football club would be nowhere without those pesky imigrants.

I was reminded today that John Redwood is now in the HoL.

Rich whiney men who pushed for Brexit and now wont take responsibility for the consequences of their political games.

He can fuck off back to Monaco or Dubai or wherever he's colonised to pay minimum tax.

Note Bannon says “we r overthrowing May right now”

How much power did Johnson give Bannon?

“This couldn’t be clearer. Bannon’s texts to Epstein in mid July 2018 - “overthrowing May right now” and in “London with Boris” as well as his appearance on LBC with Nigel Farage are prettying damning evidence of a cross party plot with foreign backing”

Nothing will be done.

Notonthestairs · 11/02/2026 17:41

Yes, nothing will be done.

Nothing to see here just a bit of foreign intervention in bringing down an elected Prime Minister.

It will be brushed under the carpet and Bannon will continue on his merry way with Farage.

DuncinToffee · 11/02/2026 17:41

Foreign influence is acceptable when it comes to sovereignty

Foreign influence is to be welcomed if it comes armed with dollars.

It’s terrifying isn’t it.

Yes Starmer who isn’t implemented at all should go 🙄

Roebels

For some reason I heard an opening riff, and the much missed voice of David Bowie ...

"Rouble Rouble, your parties a mess"

PandoraSocks · 11/02/2026 17:46

Exactly @itsgettingweird . It will be "But Starmer" all the way now.

Notonthestairs · 11/02/2026 17:47

Starmer has to go because Johnson couldn't keep his cakehole shut.

Hard Brexit & deregulation is unfinished business.

DuncinToffee · 11/02/2026 17:49

I went all Dutch there with Roebels

Blame the speed skating Grin

Sitting on my hands too. It is a waste of time, it won't change people's minds.

This is your periodic reminder that when the Russians killed 2 British citizens on UK soil in June/Jul 2018 the foreign Minister was a Mr. B Johnson who was nowhere to be seen because he was busy plotting to bring down May’s government to further his career.

I seem to remember him not being available at some crucial point because he was drafting his resignation letter to skewer May over the Brexit negotiations.

Here we are. This article is from 9th July. I believe Dawn Sturgess died on the 8th. The day Boris handed in his resignation.

“I cannot in all good conscience…”
what a duplicitous (and treasonous) prick.
