Bloody hell, there’s a big yellow thing in the sky here this morning - is it the end of the world?

Don't worry. All the rain is here, today.

Badenoch is foul. Using the abuse of women and children to score points. She says bugger all about the issue when there is no political capital to be made.

Duty of Candour from Ed Davey. Give me streuth!

PandoraSocks · 11/02/2026 12:41

There have been three opinion polls now since the Madelson scandal broke. It seems to have done Labour no harm. Almost as if the media whipping up a witch-hunt against Starmer doesn't go down well with the public.

"Ayoub Khan (ind) says rubbish is building up “right beneath my very nose”. He is a Birmingham MP, and he is talking about the bin strike. But he has Nigel Farage and the other Reform UK MPs sitting in the row directly in front of him. His joke prompts loud laughted. Richard Tice seems to see the funny side too, but Sarah Pochin looks horribly offended.

Starmer says he hopes the strike gets resolved."

Taken from The Guardian.

Andrew Sparrow, politics live.

My thoughts: Sarah Pochin permanently looks offended.

Matt Goodwin pulls out of a hustings event in Gorton and Denton stating: "I have serious concerns about the impartiality of the hustings that have been organised for tonight."

Some posters seem to not know that Reform UK member Nadhim Zahawi was a co founder of YouGov.

How can hustings not be impartial? It’s literally all the available viewpoints. All the ones I’ve been to everyone answers the same questions…

Fear of rejection?

Fear of rejection?

No fears whatsoever.

It just stokes the narrative that motivates some stupid people to think they are somehow backing the underdog.

Remember what is says on page 3 of the Reform media handbook.

"Public appearances and media control.

In your time as a reform employee you may be faced with a situation where you are invited to speak at an event that is not curated by a Friend of the Company (see website for current list of approved organs).

In order to safely avoid any unmanaged interactions, remember you can always decline the invitation citing fears about security, impartiality, or the official standing of the event. This requires no factual backing and will be amplified by the Reform media corps."

InMySpareTime · 11/02/2026 14:22

They should put a tub of lard on his chair at the hustings in his place, maybe with a reform rosette or something.

Perhaps Starmer should have pointed out that the Tories, inc Badenoch in govt at the time, totally ignored the T.May commissioned report into grooming gangs, when it reported in 2022 and its 20 recommendations..... "she failed to implement a single one" should of been his reply to her.....

And who exactly would report that ?

So pretty much the opposite of Pochin's tantrum about Bangor University, then 🙄

When your entire strategy is attracting thickies, it's inevitable that some will end up as candidates.

I mean imagine all the numpties who look at Pochin and say "If she can get that far, then surely I am in with a chance".

They'd have to join the Conservative party first.

Well ChatGPT suggested that the Tory party is where Reform candidates have the last of their humanity removed.before entering the hallowed ranks of the ubermensch

PandoraSocks · 11/02/2026 15:38

Crikey there is a lot of rw frothing on MN today. 😲 I think they are very upset Starmer hasn't resigned yet.

I have just come back from a lovely walk. It has not rained for about 4 hours. Snowdrops, daffodils, crocuses etc. are out. It feels like spring is in the air.

Yes but also Farage got away scot free. As always.

Piggywaspushed · 11/02/2026 15:45

Screaming Starmer, no less. Question is, if they suddenly admire Davey so much, why not a plan to vote LD?

SerendipityJane · 11/02/2026 15:49

So when will Chris Mason reveal that reform are to relax gun laws (using the playbook) ?

(Posters here should try outsourcing their questions to "AI". If it catches on you can bet all of a sudden the phrase "Not that kind of AI" will be extant).

I have a friend who keeps telling me Starmer should go because he’s so hated. Herevidenc3 for this is comments on Facebook posts. The proven use of bots seems to have passed her by. She’s a Labour voter in a red wall seat. She’s also tried saying I won’t hear it living where I do - forgetting I’m right by the Valleys and I definitely do hear it. I just know it’s noise, not signal.
