Latest polling. Some people will be very disappointed about the (lack of) impact of the Mandelson scandal on Labour's polling.

Edited

Have you seen the clip about the GB News poll with Ann Diamond and her co-host revealing their poll on whether their viewers think Starmer will survive this. 92% yes and 8% no. Their stunned faces were a picture and they had to check whether the results were the right way round.

There does seem to be a genuine divide on the media position and how much the public care about this. It reminds me of that theory that the Tories would lose the last election because they are too focused on what the media are saying the issues are and that’s very different to what people actually were concerned about on the door step.

I suspect that there’s an awful lot of ‘if we’re talking about Starmer on the front pages we are not talking about the content of the Epstein files’ and I’d be surprised if people higher up in the media didn’t have a lot to hide on that.

In a way, the Epstein files are protecting Starmer now.

I'm one more irony from believing in (a) God. Or Gods.

So they had 12 people vote in the poll if my maths is correct- 11 yes and one no.

Yes, the total number of respondents is my first question when being told polling data.

PandoraSocks · 10/02/2026 11:42

I wonder how many respondents they really did have? Anyway I looked up the clip and ot is hilarious. Thanks @RafaistheKingofClay ❤️

With that final paragraph, she should try her hand at stand up.

Pretty easy to be "united" when you are the only one left due to everyone else jumping ship to Reform.

There needs to be some forward thinking that recognises that, in years to come, the high needs SEN bulge is likely translate into even more pressure on Social Care, both child and adult.

Oof, that WFH thread is pretty negative. I couldn’t find one positive post about Farage. The Russian bots must be asleep.

I am guessing that there is a deeper algorithm that picks up the way a thread is going and holds back from posting on such threads.

I mean given the absolute pasting the who Farage fanbase is getting ....

Yusuf, Tice and Oakeshotte have made right tits of themselves with those posts as:

a)they have shown they don't understand devolution
b)they have conflated the university with the debating society
c) they are threatening and insulting a Welsh university in the run up to the Senedd elections.

My FiL and my cousin (ex party member) are both pretty hardcore Tories, neither give a 4X about Mandelson and wish Badenoch (plus the media) would shut up about it.

They see the speculation as harmful to the UK... and their pensions!!

Reform don't see Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland. Just places that should be English. You could say they are the Edward I des nos jours. Especially as you can be sure very few (if any) reformistas would have the faintest clue as to the reference. As one may have said to me once "What's history got to do with patriotism ?"

"Start a fight in an empty room" springs to mind.

I think she'd get away a bit more with being perpetually abrasive, confrontational, bitter, and belligerent if she wasn't so spectacularly wrong, ill-prepared, and ill-informed as often as she is.

Still, I think you genuinely can get away with ranting and raving nonsense to an extent provided you are passionate and convincing at the same time. It is hilarious watching her confidently stick her own foot in her own mouth so frequently though.

The smarmy twat has upped the ante. What a fool. At the very least he should have got the leader of Reform in Bath Wales to sign/co-sign the letter.

Oh my gosh - how absolutely terrifying those comments are - very much in line with Trump and I think it was Harvard.
Free speech only when I agree with your words - seems impossible to believe we are here in 2026 U.K.
