people who air their personal issues on social media
people who have a child with a new man to cement the relationship

Bradistan has been around since the 70s. I agree it’s stupid but it isn’t recent.

Holocaust deniers are next level stupid. Ditto flat earthers, David Icke fans, people who think star signs actually mean anything.

I have a few friends who home educate and are very vocal about it on social media. They can just about form a sentence. I despair for their poor children being denied a decent education by parents who can’t even use punctuation.

Use of "lol" and suchlike at the end of written sentences.

I forgot another one: transactivists and gender ideology extremists. How to catch them out? Ask them what JK rowling said (they won’t know)

Conspiracy theorists and antivaxxers although these are usually the same people. People who say do your research, how I don't have a lab and a science degree oh wait you mean read facebook posts

Forgot about those, but yes, I agree.

Anyone who thinks the solution to problems largely caused by neoliberal capitalism... is neoliberal capitalism on steroids, really should be donating their brain for scientific study. Preferably sooner rather than later.

The usual mix of bad grammar, limited vocabulary and not being able to converse on a wide range of topics. I don’t think you can ‘look’ thick, really, so it’s more about what comes out of people’s mouths.

People with no critical thinking abilities who just parrot back discussion points they have read in the Daily Mail/BBC etc. Oh yes agree on threads where someone says 'op I asked Chat GPT and this is what is says:' closely followed by a massive wall of stating the obvious mingled in with some plain incorrect or US specific.
