Button moon

I came across button moon last night on amazon prime and watched some with my 10 year old daughter. I loved that when I was little in the 80s. Dd really liked it too but kept on pointing out the men in that back (clearly visible) moving the puppets, wonder how that escaped me as a child 🤔. And then the spaceship for Mr spoon to go to button moon is actually a tin of heinz beans, tin of pink salmon and a funnel 🤣 brilliant!! Im going to watch some more tonight.

Anyone know of any other 80s cartoons available to bring back memories and laugh at things we didnt notice back then?.

Orig clangers.
There was another thread where a poster confirmed she knitted them..I mean that's a true claim to fame.😁❤️

So many great memories…
Does anyone remember Issi Noho? Sometimes I feel like I’m the only child that watched it! Also Barnaby bear.

Years later my children loved Tots Tv with Tilly, Tom and Tiny (not forgetting donkey and furryboo).

Was Issi Noho a magic panda? I think I remember it vaguely.

The Little Green Man (and Zoom Zoom)

That's the one with the theme song which has impossible-to-understand words.

Nobody EVER remembers that one when I mention it! Glad I'm not the only one. Loved it.
Narrated by the fabulous John Pertwee (Worzel, Dr Who) if I remember correctly.

I'm definitely on a thread of my peers. I adore(d) Raggy Dolls. Brilliant for teaching acceptance. Raggy dolls, Raggy dolls, dolls like you and me...

Fraggle Rock, Pudding Lane, He Man, not She Ra. I might be a little bit overexcited for the He Man movie. Transformers. Thundercats. Rainbow not Rod, Jayne and Freddie. Pink Windmill not the standalone Grotbags show.

Yes, loved the Raggy Dolls ♥️

What was the one with the ichthyosaurus?

Moschops! Which, it turns out, is an actual dinosaur. I had no idea.

Ear worm alert:
We’ve got a handful of songs to sing you, can’t stop our voice cos we long to bring you
Happiness, no more no less
dobedododododooo dodoododoodooo

New songs and blue songs and songs to bring you.
Happiness!

I was terrible at misunderstanding theme tunes as a child. For ages I thought there were loads of wombles because it said, ‘Wombles of Wimbledon; Common are we’.

I can't believe I forgot Wacky Racers, Ulysses and Cities of Gold! Goes without saying re: Merry Melodies and Looney Tunes. I was born 1980, but have older siblings and we lived abroad until I was about 10, so some of these, I'd watch when we came to England on holidays. Otherwise, we had videos sent out to us so we could watch them :) I remember some of the older stuff, but ofc a lot of the stuff for "my age" back then. What fab cartoons!! Really going to binge watch some of them!!!

I'm so jealous of the PP who had a She-Ra T-shirt with her name on it! My name isn't a usual name, even when Anglicised (and as a kid I HATED if anyone didn't spell it right or abbreviated it etc), so total conundrum re: personalised stuff for me. Unless one paid a fortune to get it done. I remember being v jealous that my brothers and sister got a lot of personalised stuff (their anglicised names was simple)!!

Thank you guys for the trip down Memory Lane :)

My name is unusual too and people often pronounce it wrong. Im the one with the turn shirt..sure my mum and dad got it at a stall in Blackpool in maybe 86/7. I was born in 81.

One of the Press Gang cast came to the houseshare I lived in when I was 17 to buy coke from my amateur DJ landlord. That was a surreal doorstep conversation!

Dexter Fletcher?

@ConstanzeMozart Sadly not. He was my favourite!

The person I opened the door to was my most hated character. But it was still a peak surreal '90s moment, and couldn't have been more than a couple of years from the end of the show.
