Button moon

I came across button moon last night on amazon prime and watched some with my 10 year old daughter. I loved that when I was little in the 80s. Dd really liked it too but kept on pointing out the men in that back (clearly visible) moving the puppets, wonder how that escaped me as a child 🤔. And then the spaceship for Mr spoon to go to button moon is actually a tin of heinz beans, tin of pink salmon and a funnel 🤣 brilliant!! Im going to watch some more tonight.

Anyone know of any other 80s cartoons available to bring back memories and laugh at things we didnt notice back then?.

Came on to say this. Kenneth Williams doing all the voices and the narration, amazing. And Carwash the cat was based on Noël Coward. Obviously that went over my head as a kid, but I did used to think that it was quite waspish (again, as a kid I wouldn't have worded it like that though).

Bagpuss is a pure delight. Gorgeous aesthetic, a philosophy of cherishing and mending things – with real old-fashioned skills – a beautifully crafted story-within-a-story every episode, and genuinely good music (I'm sure the musicians and singers must have been serious folk artists).

Roobarb and Custard is a classic too. Loved it for its sheer anarchy.

It's definitely "we're off to button moon, let's follow mr spoon, button moon, button moon". I had a video of it that was watched eleventh billion times. That theme song has never left my head😂

The magic roundabout. Also more of a gameshow but The Adventure Game (think that’s it) was on BBC2 absolutely bonkers with dragons and early computer animation and problem solving.
