I'm getting whiplash trying to cover all the news. The Trump administration's been busy!

THE US Government is being pushed to explain whether it ignored a Scottish court order and “abducted two people from Scotland”.
It comes after the captain and first officer of a Russian-flagged, Venezuelan-linked oil tanker captured by US forces were reported to have left UK waters, just hours after the Court of Session in Edinburgh issued an interim interdict prohibiting their removal from the territorial jurisdiction of the court.
Lord Young recalled the order on Tuesday, after the court was told that the US Department Justice had emailed Scotland's prosecution service at 03:04am to confirm the captain and first officer had been taken off the Marinera on to the US Coastguard ship Munro.

I have done a lot of online debates against flat earthers, and a skill one picks up doing that is spotting narratives that just don't stack up on first principles of logic. The error from them is just so obvious that it's just ignored. This whole fraud thing MAGA spins is a good example I think. It is designed to be emotive, and that can hide the flaws, because it shifts thinking. If that makes sense.

Fraud. Fine. Step back, apply logic.

So if there is fraud, send in accountants. ICE are not trained in fraud so far as I am aware. Their job is removal of people who don't have the correct papers.

And that leads to a follow on thought. Why are the Trump admin so keen to deport anyone potentially connected to billions of dollars going missing?

Excellent. So you are pro gun control. Of course we don't know if he was armed before, or if he was always armed. That should be investigated. Because as Trump says, it's not a good idea to be walking about with guns.

I am not sure about the ammo stuff though. Is carrying a gun with ammo worse than carrying a gun without ammo? I have never heard of this concept before now. Not in a permit to carry state that is. Does ammo need a different permit, in addition to the gun permit ? That could be a potential gun control measure I suppose.

It's similar to the Chris Rock argument. Tax the bullets. But not quite the same.

On the general Trump front, and my armchair interest in what was the deal to get TikTok, what could happen the in far east that Trump would ignore ?

Have you seen the video of Alex Pretti kicking rhe ICE car? It doesn't change a thing, the punishment for criminal damage is not death, but MAGA are creaming their pants over it and the damage to his nice guy image.

I've seen the video of what happened c. 11 days prior to Alex Pretti's death. It's interesting to note that he wasn't arrested for damaging the car but instead murdered for trying to protect a woman against ICE.

Sky news here are reiterating that we have not been shown what happened in prior to Alex kicking off the taillight.

We already know AP was a legal observer of the ICE operations. Unless it can be shown that the ICE agents involved in his murder targeted him because they recognised him then the previous incident isn't relevant to him being executed. All it will do is muddy the waters around the investigation into his death and give the 'what-about-eries' something to latch on to as a 'he had it coming' excuse.

Meanwhile the 5year old boy detained by ICE is still in prison and is now unwell.

Everybody knows this has absolutely nothing to with Alex Pretti’s murder, let alone somehow justifies it. But my goodness they will strain every sinew to pretend otherwise. As ever, it will be illuminating to see which media & political figures outside the regime are corrupt enough to help them.

Just jumping in with a question as I see fraud mentioned above. Whenever I venture into the cesspit of X, looking at ICE in Minneapolis, I find numerous comments by MAGATs about Tim Walz being a terrible man who should be in prison for having committed benefit fraud to do with Somalis. Does anyone know what this is about and whether it is just MAGAT distraction from ICE mouth-frothing or something which Tim Walz/the Dems should be worried about?

So billions have gone missing in Minnesota ...... fraud on an industrial scale, possibly the largest in US history, hundreds of fake companies have been setup. Ilhan Omar the Minnesota Congress woman is being investigated too, and so is her husband Tim Mynett’ .... because it is not clear how they have both amassed $30 million in only a few short,years, Tim Waltz being investigated too. He looked the other way while all this was happening in his state.
