Former cable news anchor Don Lemon was arrested last night, multiple sources with direct knowledge tell CBS News. A source familiar says a grand jury was empaneled on this yesterday. FBI and HSI were involved in the arrest, sources say.

Its pretty standard practice to allow even very high security prisoners to attend the funerals of parents, children, siblings and spouses.

My first thought on seeing that they’d arrested a journalist was to ask how much of a coincidence is it that Don Lemon is not white? 🤔

Trying to find what the charges are, I found this on CNN :

"A source briefed on the investigation said Lemon faces charges of conspiracy to deprive others of their civil rights and violation of the FACE Act by allegedly interfering by force with the exercise of others' First Amendment rights."

I know they tried to charge him last week, a judge rejected it.
