A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙🩵

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

I don’t think he’s making stuff up. Just hearing him speak. Which means others are.

I don't think he's lying about any of it either.
This will improve Burnham's standing and reduce Starmer's even further.

On Goodwin, (and as this is the anti Labour thread), I think its worth remembering why there is a by election in the first place.
Andrew Gwynne is a disgusting POS. Whoever the next MP is, they can't be much worse than him.

Right? Gywnne's anti-semitism seems particularly chilling as I light a candle in my windows for Holocaust Memorial Day.

‘It is understood that the legal dispute is centred around the UK Government’s alleged failure to formally terminate the agreement in 2024’

Labour really are absolute imbeciles.

Rwanda sues UK for £50million over abandoned asylum plan

The deal was originally signed by the former home secretary, Priti Patel, and has already cost the UK taxpayer £715million

So a £50 million admin fail? Did someone put it in the same forgotten pile as Reeves home rental license form?

And as the £50 million admin blunder is revealed - it seems the budget for p.e in state schools will be axed £60 million.

It's not like there's an obesity epidemic is there 🤷🏼‍♀️

Something has to give to pay for all the breakfast soggy toast clubs.
What silly idea will they come up with next? Teachers having to brush children's teeth because their parents can't be arsed? Oh wait...

I've not read the thread I'm sure it's been mentioned but a 300 million pound bail out for the money they robbed off business like pubs in the first place.

Talk about Peter Robbing Paul ??

Oh that is so out of order. How are they justifying that? Poor poor kids (and teachers) at these schools.

PE lessons save kids and teachers. Kids need to do exercise. Fresh air, activity, team games etc. It so destructive to reduce the budget. But they have soggy toast at 8am. Little art, little music, little pe, definitely no Latin option, definitely no baccalaureate option.

What Are Labour doing for state educated children and teachers? Scandalous. Where’s the fury. People managed to galvanise and group over support for vat on education, where’s the ‘93%’ (👀) outrage about how terrible some of the schools are?

Oh yes! How much Have labour amassed from vat on education.. They will surely point us to this information soon. At the same time they tell us in detail what it is being spent on..

And general cuts to funding - ‘will see overall per pupil funding drop to the lowest levels in England in real terms for at least 15 years. Every local authority in the country will see a reduction in real terms per pupil funding, with an average cut of 1.2%.’

Hi Placey, nice to hear from you again. Denzii here.

No arguments from me about mocking Anderson.

If, as seems likely, Labour lose the by-election, which is being held very quickly, I do think we’ll have to credit Starmer with the most imbecilic decisions of them all. He’s likely to be thrown out by the party if Starmer-Labour can’t even hold that seat, and he’ll have brought forward his own political demise by wanting to speed up the vote. He probably won’t make it into May.

WTF was he thinking? Why could he not have toughed out Burnham? It’s not as though he’d survive a challenge from any of half a dozen of his ministers anyway. He just looks terrible after this. Appalling for his legacy too: the PM who was brought down in short order by his own self-interest and cowardice.

Well I guess that £3 billion child benefit cap blitz isn't going to pay for itself.
