A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙🩵

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

The performance at PMQ's yesterday was similar to Starmer in court full of lies. I do not think he will last a week nor will Labour at this rate.

Januaryescape · 05/02/2026 07:22

I do like today’s Matt cartoon! Surely Mrs Starmer is booking the removers for May at this point…

EasternStandard · 05/02/2026 07:25

SeekingAlpha · 05/02/2026 07:21

One more push and hopefully he will fall.

Next up, I would be happy with Rayner.

Same. Probably for the same reasons.

I agree @mbonfieldthey go when PMQs become untenable.

Matt cartoons are great, so good

@SeekingAlpha happy with Rayner a grifter on the same magnitude as Andrew are you joking ? How can we be expected to have that tax dodging uneducated peasant our prime minister ? Seeing Ken Clarke on QT a few months ago just makes the stark realisation of what we have today in government a total joke. Any of those Clowns tipped for the job are dreadful but she is the worst of all

It’s very simple.

What would Rayner do? She would preside over the collapse of the government in short order, and a snap GE.

That’s why I want Rayner back on the pitch.

As a side note for anyone who remembers my job for the MOJ an update. My pre employment failed so I had to request why which I did 6 times 3 phone calls 3 emails on the last phone call I was pretty assertive which then gave me my email response. The MOJ after 5 months of emailing every fortnight saying my checks were going ahead nothing further needed allegedly sent three requests to access my online presence which I didn’t respond to except they didn’t do I then had to appeal stating these facts which I did. They now have withdrawn my application after replying they were dealing with a lot of appeals you absolutely cannot make this up ! I am putting in a complaint and I am not letting this lie being gas lit into saying I received three requests then withdrawing my application it’s an absolute joke no wonder they have no recruits

Parsley4321 · 05/02/2026 08:00

@SeekingAlpha ok yes I agree 😜

SpaceRaccoon · 05/02/2026 08:11

See I wanted to give Kemi longer to rebuild Tory support. If there's an election tomorrow they aren't likely to win it.

EasternStandard · 05/02/2026 08:18

I think it’s Rayner up next but she can’t do it yet to tax issue. It slows it down but she’s more of a threat to Starmer outside the cabinet.

Starmer won’t go without a fight but listening to Karl Turner it’s looking shaky. A final push and he’s out.

His ultimatum seemed to be get rid of McSweeney or it’s you. Starmer already gushed over him and knows he’s only in power due to him.

Dominoes.

Reeves has to follow Starmer out.

Yes. And I doubt that Lammy or Cooper or Hermer could survive either. Streeting may also have to go if he doesn’t win the leadership because he’ll be too dangerous to have around, and he’s almost certainly out at the next GE anyway unless he chicken runs.

It’s hard to see who the next cabinet will be. Labour’s got no depth of talent.

🙈😂 How are the DEI courses going? 😂

Edited

Correct. There’s just nothing there. The first gvt to be state educated with all that huzzah. They are not doing a good job of representing the best of state education.

They had it all in their hands. And now look what they’ve done. I knew they’d be bad and bitter, but I didn’t understand quite how incompetent and sleazy they would be.

EasternStandard · 05/02/2026 09:07

People are getting nervy out there lots of attacks on the ‘right wing’.

This is Labour’s failing.

Not so smug now. Although they’ll probably try.

SeekingAlpha · 05/02/2026 09:11

The hardcore are throwing in the towel on Starmer.

It's not 'right wingers' bringing Starmer down, its his own side.

Yep totally. A few of the usual trying to pass the buck but this is his own side.

Have no fear, they'll be out defending Labour by lunchtime.
Even the biggest political scandal in modern times won't put them off.

Yes, it seems they would follow him in lockstep through his million farcical u-turns and gaffes, but it's reassuring that even they have their limits. Wonder what Starmer's favouribility rating looks like at the next round of polls?

DenizenOfAisleOfShame · 05/02/2026 09:22

I remember the Starmer love from the Labour supporters immediately after the GE. He’s so clever, he’s a KC, used to be DPP, great judgement, he’ll be a wonderful speaker, very solid, grown up and sensible.

It was obvious to anyone even mildly objective that he was an over-promoted, talentless, horribly ambitious wanker.

Polling will be interesting.
I think you were right when you said that we may be down to the hardcore vote who will vote Labour come what May. Perhaps even they will wobble now.
