A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙🩵

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Why was Gordon Brown known as ‘Smelly’?

Januaryescape · 04/02/2026 08:39

Just saw Melinda Gates interviewed on NPR. She knew. Completely absent of any backing for Bill, quite striking. She showed excellent judgment divorcing him when it first came out. Maybe she’d consider a political career?

hard to believe sometimes that so many people could collude in this kind of thing, for years.

EasternStandard · 04/02/2026 08:40

Still Labour pushing Starmer on here. A tough gig.

Halitosis.

The Telegraph is reporting Reeves is already out of headroom.

I doubt she factored into her "fag packet" calculations the effect of Labour's batsh1t policies - not least in relation to employment. People who lose their jobs can't pay her increased taxes.

Well that amendment will come in handy won't it?

https://x.com/PolitlcsUK/status/2018824707764805969?s=20

"The Tories confirm they will table a motion tomorrow [now today] demanding the release of all Government papers linked to Peter Mandelson’s appointment as US Ambassador The motion would be binding if passed with Labour MPs set to rebel and vote"

"Keir Starmer has tabled an amendment to the Tory motion which would exempt "papers prejudicial to UK national security or international relations”"

Shocking. How many scandals has Keir tried to cover up now? And how many we don’t know about. Time for this sleazy corrupt waste of space to go.

strawberrybubblegum · 04/02/2026 06:35

I might be being slow, but how would that have benefitted Epstein?

(The scandal is bad enough without adding extra!)

What? You surely realise this was about insider trading. Bad enough? Does it get any worse than treason?

Let's hope Labour MPs find some integrity and vote with the tories.
The Labour ammendment will render any release pointless. Most will be redacted.

He is shameless.

Still, I doubt whether he’ll be able to front this out. Brown is already turning on him. They’ll all end up fighting like rats in a sack, scrabbling round to save themselves. Hopefully it brings the government down.

AnnasFangs · 03/02/2026 17:37

He is going to be stripped of his title, but it needs primary legislation. So not something that can be done overnight.

Given your posts on ‘right wingers’ I wonder why this thread interests you

Does one have to be a right winger to post on the thread? I thought it was for people who don't like this Labour government? Which I don't. But as I said in my post on the other thread, I do want political stability.

I find this thread interesting as people make some informative posts.

You sound pretty critical about people who post here.

DenizenOfAisleOfShame · 04/02/2026 09:51

TBH I can’t see the point in taking away a life peerage from somebody like Mandelson. He has no constitutional position (unlike the former Duke of York, at least in theory), he’s resigned from the Lords and is now irredeemably tarnished for the rest of his days.

I haven't made any posts criticising posters on this thread? I haven't even mentioned this thread. I did criticise a certain rumour that has been aired across various threads on mn
I think a poster on here has bern critical of it too, actually.

But look, I don't want to derail Nuthatch's thread with a bunfight about what I've posted on another thread. Best if you challenge what I have said there and not here.

No I don’t want to derail the other thread. People posting here can read the posts. Who were you thinking of with ‘right wingers who want to get rid of Starmer’?

Upstartled · 04/02/2026 10:07

Right wingers with share tokens?

We’re nice to each other on this thread, that’s what it’s for. We don’t then criticise elsewhere because what’s the point of sharing time on here just to do that

@Upstartlednot sure just saw that, sounds worrying

@DenizenOfAisleOfShameI find his Lord title problematic as it’s elevating, when he shouldn’t be elevated

Weird that no details have been released yet. Rumour mill is suggesting a triple stabbing.

Oh no, I suppose the delay might be to inform parents before the news is released? How awful.

Upstartled · 04/02/2026 12:14

Starmer is stuttering. Reeves has her thousand mile stare on. Kendall looks like she has been dragged through a hedge. Badenoch is bossing it. Not sure if it's just microphones, but it sounds like discontent on the Labour backbenches along with the rest of the house.

EasternStandard · 04/02/2026 12:17

Totally up against it. Kemi sounds clear Starmer is pathetic and excruciating.

Times Radio skewering him too in analysis.
