Another person murdered by ICE

I’m in tears and shock at the brutality happening in broad daylight in the US. I’m a US citizen, emigrated to the UK for family reasons 12 years ago (now dual citizen), and I am just in disbelief at what’s happening. I was sick when I learned of Trump’s first election and gravely disappointed by the second one. But the sheer brutality of what’s happening in MN right now has really thrown me. I have friends and family there, in Chicago (where ICE raids were occurring in the autumn), in NY, and in California. I’m hearing that even worse things are happening in the Deep South but fewer observers and press to report on it. Posting here because I feel so lost.

The 5 year olds dad was an illegal immigrant who ran off and left him.

Why are people putting themselves in the firing line to defend illegal immigrants? Why would you?

Why are people trying to defend illegal immigrants? Because many of them are asylum seekers and ICE isn't even trying to figure out why people are or are not documented. Because they are valued members of their society. Because they are peoples' neighbours, friends, schoolmates, employees and employers. Because nobody deserves to be shot in the street, regardless of their immigration status. Because ICE is killing people indiscriminately, regardless of one's immigration status or citizenship. Because America is a nation built by immigrants.

I wish MN would allow a block function.

What students just going about their business going to college.

Yes. Penning A newspaper column critical of the war in Gaza, or being married to a US citizen who works for Al Jazeera, are not crimes. Half of MN would be in prison if it was.

@ThejoyofNC I know what I saw on the 07/01/2026 and today. I also know what I saw on the 6th January 2021.

The whole world has seen it. This is nothing but state sponsored murder and if there was an oil rich middle eastern country acting like America, I bet you my mortgage America would be in “freeing” them

The man who was shot a few hours ago was a 37 year old US citizen, born and raised in America. He was an ICU nurse in a VA hospital. He was trying to take care of a woman who had been maced by ICE. I would absolutely stand in the street to defend his right to not be shot by ICE.

But they are not going on the campuses shooting students going about their business are they, or are they.

So you think students should be confined to campus ! Says a lot about you.

Deporting illegal immigrants is nothing like the nazis

Only they are not just deporting illegal immigrants! They have also detaining and denying legal council to those who are in the US legally. Including citizens. They are snatching children off the street to use as bait. They have pulled an elderly gentleman half naked out of his house and kept him detained for hours despite him having every right to live in the US.

There are ways and means of deporting those who should not be in the US without terrorising communities. Without being completely inhumane in your treatment of them. Many detainees have not been given adequate food, drinks, heating and basic essentials. A family were snatched a few days ago outside the emergency department taking their BLEEDING child to receive treatment. They are now in a different state and the child has still not received any medical attention.

These cowards are dressed in Nazi style trench coats, wearing straps that the Nazi’s wore. They have been using their slogans and rhetoric.

Wake the fuck up. For gods sake before it is too late.

Who said anything about confined to Campus, who stays on campus full time, I think your attitude actually says a lot about you.

Deporting illegal immigrants is nothing like the nazis

It is when they are legally there!!
It's exactly like Nazi Germany.

There is no due process involved.
How is this legally allowed to happen in what is the supposed Country of the Free.

It is now a country run by a convicted criminal employing other criminals to do his dirty work.
You no doubt are one of the brainwashed fools who voted for it if not then you are sadly misled.

sprigatito · 24/01/2026 20:29

Amazing how comfortable so many American posters are with extrajudicial killings all of a sudden, as long as the executed people belong to a group they don’t like. The veneer of civilisation really is paper-thin.

No darling she didn’t. This is the still of the moment of the first shot. You can clearly see the thug who shot her is stood to the side. You can also see the wheels pointed away from him.

As an American, I fully 100% support our ICE agents and Border Patrol, and all law enforcement. Imagine dying protecting to keep rapists and murderers in your country. Wild.

Liberalism is truly a mental disease.

Sorry I can’t get that to open what was it about.

It is a list, from last year, of some of the more than 300 overseas students arrested and removed by ICE despite being in the country perfectly legally and committing no crimes.

You’d be an idiot to go study there at the moment.

Finally. A sane voice.

holdtheline11 · 24/01/2026 20:36

She was murdered. So scary that ICE has been able to do this again.

Making clear to American citizens what happens even to white women who try to oppose the government

I haven't heard about a second one but the first woman wasn't murdered.

She was shot in the head.
On what planet do you have to be on to think that isn't murder?

DopeyS · 24/01/2026 20:37

OnlyMabelInTheBuilding · 24/01/2026 20:08

Don’t be an illegal immigrant, don’t get involved in the deportation of illegal immigrants.

Dunno, seems pretty simple to me.

You and all the other pathetic people on here defending the ice agents are horrendous. I watched the video. I watched a man, face down on the floor after attempting to help a woman up who had been pepper sprayed.
Prior to this he stood there filming them. That is not illegal. If he had a gun, it is permitted in that state. He did not reach for his gun as he had a man kneeling on his bank and four (at least people around him). He was hit in the face multiple times with a gun and then was shot 10 times.

Maybe all you people desperately trying to justify the murder of someone in the street need to think about why you're so desperate to pretend these ice agents are doing good?

Funny how all the people who you idolise and hang off their every words about how 'immigrants are bad' 'foreigners are bad'. All seem to have immigrant or foreign ancestry partners.

Do as I say, not as I do and you lap it up. They won't protect you, they don't care about you. They care about themselves and if you happened to be walking by, involved or not. You wouldn't get the pat on the back you so hope for, you'd probably get exactly what those other people have got. They look down on you and think they're better than you.

Mental indeed.

Actually, why are you trying to derail and bring up a different killing?
