I’m in tears and shock at the brutality happening in broad daylight in the US. I’m a US citizen, emigrated to the UK for family reasons 12 years ago (now dual citizen), and I am just in disbelief at what’s happening. I was sick when I learned of Trump’s first election and gravely disappointed by the second one. But the sheer brutality of what’s happening in MN right now has really thrown me. I have friends and family there, in Chicago (where ICE raids were occurring in the autumn), in NY, and in California. I’m hearing that even worse things are happening in the Deep South but fewer observers and press to report on it. Posting here because I feel so lost.

She wasn't a threat, she was unarmed. She was murdered by ICE. And now they've killed another. They're nothing more than state authorised thugs.

We're bringing dniece home. The US is no longer a fit place to study, it's descending into a rogue state. 🙁

The autopsy results show that the shot that killed her was the third shot, through her left temple as he stood next to her side window. There was no self defence as he was in no danger, I’m not sure what you would call shooting and killing an innocent unarmed woman from the side but I absolutely call it murder. Be better.

I honestly think that's a wise decision. I can't imagine how I'd feel if a young person - or anyone I loved - was in the US at the moment. I'd be on a knife edge. Hope dniece understands and isn't too disappointed.

The only ones waving guns around are the masked thugs who are terrorising innocent people. They are marching round the city in replica Nazi uniforms, using Nazi slogans and rhetoric and still people on here defend them.

Shooting people that are already detained and being held down on the pavement is what then?
