Help settle a discussion dh and I are pondering please?! I think we have more TVs than the average household, he thinks we have the average amount 😂
How many do you have (with either freeview or sky or with streaming functions) and how many people live in your house?
I’ll come back and update in a bit, I’m just going out for a quick swim!!

2, one in each living room. 5 people.

Disasterclass · 10/01/2026 16:17

1 for 3 people in living room . Not a fan of tv’s in bedrooms and I suspect we have less rooms than most, going by the comments on this thread, so not really anywhere else one would go

Favouritefruits · 10/01/2026 16:17

Two, one in the living room and one in my bedroom. Don’t have them in the kids rooms or the dining room.

StuffingMyNuts · 10/01/2026 16:18

4 for 2 people

BlueWorkDay · 10/01/2026 16:20

We only have one (in the living room) for three people.

When we viewed the house they had three (living room, kitchen, master bedroom).

We have 8 rooms in the house (not including bathrooms).

shhblackbag · 10/01/2026 16:20

I have 2. Never had one in my bedroom as an adult, though. There's one in the living room, and one in my office/guestroom.

Sleepasaurus · 10/01/2026 16:22

One tv but we don’t really use it. I would happily get rid.

ChrisMartinsKisskam · 10/01/2026 16:22

Two people
huge 80 inch tv in the living room
one 60 inch tv in the spare room
Both are Samsungs so and new so all the apps for streaming are built in

That's my situation too: Always only one TV, in the living room and always a small one.
I really dislike a TV to dominate a room. I like my small one because it's incidental to the room and not the focal point.

I will add I have a radio in very room bar the bathrooms. Radio is my thing. And most of them are Bluetooth enabled so I can listen to my talking books.

Edited

Same…I have radios everywhere 😍

Nannyfannybanny · 10/01/2026 16:25

Andthatrightsoon · 10/01/2026 16:26

missspent · 10/01/2026 16:27

Blessedbethefruitloopss · 10/01/2026 16:28

We have 6. 2 lounges, 1 kitchen, 3 of the bedrooms. 4 people.

Simonjt · 10/01/2026 16:28

We have one TV in the front room, there are four people in the house, although the dog is partial to a nature show.

MNLurker1345 · 10/01/2026 16:30

1 - two people. Have only ever had one and would never have more.

stargirl1701 · 10/01/2026 16:30

One TV. 2 adults and 2 children.

temperance75 · 10/01/2026 16:30

2 people full time, 1 at uni
4 TV's- 1 sky, 1 sky + fire stick, 2 fire stick
7 laptops
6 monitors

EleventyThree · 10/01/2026 16:32

One. Three people.

AGreenWitch · 10/01/2026 16:32

5, three people but two at uni. One in each of three receptions and one in each DC’s bedroom.

I hardly watch TV and despite won’t be replacing them as they die. Two will do in the future. Gone are the days when DC took a tiny TV to uni, as I did.

OttersMayHaveShifted · 10/01/2026 16:34

One. We briefly had 2 for a few years, but other than that I've never lived in a house with more than one (I'm in my 50s).

Imbacknot · 10/01/2026 16:35

None zero its been 4 years no regrets.
