I stand by my statement.

The UK had a similar experience - during the Iraq war, and 2019-2024. Parliament just gave up. It remains to be seen whether it will ever recover.

Just a note that the whole Iranian shitshow began when the US (in the shape of Kermit Roosevelt - look him up) and UK overthrew the democratically elected government in 1954 and installed the Shah as a puppet ruler. His increasingly despotic regime led to the Revolution in 1978 and everything that has flowed from it since.

If Trump manages to subjugate the US to the extent that Putin has subjugated Russia he will then need to; have body doubles, keep everyone at the end of a long table, keep his excretions under lock and key.
