@FurForksSake I think I will book something fairly soon. I've dropped present hints for a while now and it's not worked 🤣

@Mumtobabyhavoc A good dermatologist sounds like a fine thing. I went to one a couple of years ago and they were terrible. About 90 seconds to do a cursory once over that didn't even cover some of my areas of concern and just ushered me out after not answering any questions. Really should find another one, something else for the list!

@WideOpenBeaches I love Imbolc (although to be fair, I love all of the wheel of the year festivals 😁). The first stirrings of Spring 😊

For my washing machine I use white vinegar in every wash (in the softener drawer). Seems to work pretty well (cue inevitable post later this week about my washing machine being broken!)

Well, today I have:

Made a lentil dhal
Done some reading

Just got a call from surgeon's office to book my day surgeries at hospital. Will be done in 2 appts. One end of March and the other early April. Feeling pretty impressed about the quick response and booking. 😊

Taking my mum to a med appt after lunch, so we're all just hanging out at home this morning. Kids just watched a video of 50 Italian words and are now on Alpha Blocks, which they love. I should put some laundry on.

I hoovered the landing which was very overdue in someplace. And dealt with an occupational health issues.

Heard back from the gp with a message telling me not to get back in touch but the doctor has triaged and they will send me out an appointment. No timeframe for that. Seeing as they need to stare at my cervix I put the request in to have a 2-3 window and now I think it will be during shark week.

Good to hear everyone looking out for their health. Hoping all goes smoothly!
Very busy work day today, out and about mostly after wfh from my bed yesterday afternoon 😎I have met and spoken to a lot of people 😴 ( They weren't boring, I'm just very tired) Dinner was thrown together in a hurry early afternoon then I abandoned it in a low oven.
Oh I ran the hoover round too. Nothing else at all. It's an early night with a book for me. DH, bless him, has taken refuge with headphones and a football match, knowing that I can't do any form of conversation until I have rebooted. He's very good like that 💕

Numberblocks is great! Even better designed than Alphablocks I think, really clever use of color and shape.

Lots of back to back meetings yesterday and today, but in between I've managed to pay the invoice, book another PT session, go to the gym, order some school uniform (thanks, growth spurt), and keep on top of queries from the builders re: work on my parents' flat. I think that's good enough. Tomorrow morning I am taking two pairs of trousers to get hemmed - rather looking forward to wearing them eventually!

Today i have planted 2 hellebores in the garden where I can see them from my kitchen window. So pleased with them.

I am taking a wee break as I’ve got to get off social media - between dec and now I’ve gained so much weight, I need to get back into healthy habits 🥺😪

@SunnyViper respect. I am sitting here moaning because my hands are cold and can't settle to do anything because, well, cold and you are out chopping up trees 😄I'd have left it and brought the international distribution center to a halt.

• car will need fuel at some point today.
• trying to find some motivation from somewhere, but I do have a jumper on now
• desk!!!!
• I have my annual appraisal tomorrow so need to prepare for that - otherwise it is back to back meetings #sadtimes
• got a stack of paperwork in front of me that either needs to be shredded or filed.

I'm feeling a bit like that too. Real life pressures are quite intense right now. Added to a hefty tax bill, unexpected expenses for house repairs and January seems like a really tough month!

Hello, sorry for the silence, there’s not been many daily projects happening here I’m afraid. Everything is in a bit of a guddle to be honest (again!) I need to give myself a good shake! I just want everything done now and of course that never happens so I give up but I cannot let the cycle continue (she says AGAIN!).
Anyway here I am back to try and get myself organised. Today’s one job was to sort out the tupperware boxes. Somehow I have ended up with lots of lids and not enough boxes so I’ve binned some of them.
I’m about to hang out the washing. It’s so cold here but dry and I really miss the smell of the clothes when they’ve had a few hours outside. I’ve got a few hours free this afternoon so I need to tidy all round. Every single drawer and cupboard in this house needs to be sorted through and every room deep cleaned. I need to concentrate on one job and a time and trust that eventually it will all come together

I have been trying to get back to the getting one extra job done a day. Just did a drawer of gym tops. A small pile ready for the charity bag. And there is now room for the two new ones I bought today. A lot of the ones I had were too big now.

I went to M&S this morning to take some returns and did a bit of shopping. Am catching up on the washing back log. Did some admin related to my Aus trip. And now am going to have a cup of tea and some cake and read my book.

Evening all. Sorry to hear of struggles.

Does anyone struggle with making decisions? I need a few pieces of new furniture and to make some choices about things and I do loads of research and then give up.

@FurForksSake - oh God yes! I go around in circles. Then I make a decision. And then DH chimes in with his opinion! I compromise. We get whatever it is. And then I hate it.

Im just paying Jane Clayton a small fortune to send me fabric samples weekly so I can dither some more. Need 2 chairs reupholstering and I need to make a loose cover for another chair. And get a rug.

According my ‘meditation man’ this Imbolc time of year, and animals hibernating etc means that we should cut ourselves some slack and wait it out until the spring.
