What did you eat today?
I love reading what people have (and getting new ideas/recipes).
My new year new habit is to have a side of veg with each meal (and eat it first).

Breakfast - Sourdough toast with soft cheese & bagel seasoning, side of cucumber/tomatoes,

Snack - Crisps

Lunch - Stovies with beetroot (traditional in my part of Scotland)

Snack - Christmas choc (trying to get through this)

Teatime snack - Bowl of homemade lentil & veg soup, a couple of crackers

Dinner - I am going to a pub quiz so will have a wee something to eat from their bar bites menu!

Cereal, tea and toast for breakfast
Morning snack....8 jaffa cakes 🤔
Dinner....home made lasagne. Just contemplating on having a ice cream for pudding 🙃

B - porridge with strawberries, mixed seeds and honey

Porridge for breakfast.
Mushroom and vegetable curry with basmati rice and various chutneys for lunch. Then a few squares of dark chocolate.
I’ve made a sweet potato and lentil soup for tonight, which we will have with sourdough bread and butter.

Breakfast, Porridge with sliced apple and a coffee.
Lunch, 3 fish sticks, a pack of Quavers and a satsuma.
Dinner, Beans on toast.

Thank you @BarryKentPoet I know oat porridge is supposed to be slow-release, but I get the shakes about 1.5 hrs after eating it. It's better when I have it with chia seeds and peanut butter and no fruit or honey etc, but I might look into barley 🙂

B - Piece of granary toast with butter, a satsuma
L - Couple of slices of leftover roast beef, then a bowl of Greek yoghurt (5%) mixed with a serving of the chocolate biomel powder, with berries, nut butter and pumpkin seeds
Snack - little slither of my Christmas cake - very little left now thank goodness I can’t resist it
D - Spicy chicken flatbreads with peppers, onion and carrot, sour cream and a homemade salsa

Husband is munching his way through the giant pack of sour sweets I put in his stocking and I think I might have to grab a handful shortly.

bowl of homemade curried lentil and veg soup.
roast pork, roast potatoes, cheesy leeks, carrots, sprouts, broccoli, green beans.
buckets of tea and 3 pints of water .

L - oat cakes, cheese, grapes. Raspberry protein yogurt
S - Greek yogurt, berries, banana, walnuts and honey
(recovering from a bad cold so not feeling hot food at the moment)

I'm up in the night so here's yesterdays!

B honey pecan oat latte, coffee with almond milk, 1/4 doughnut

L vegetables and chickpeas in a tomato sauce with sourdough and flora buttery

D tofu pad Thai jay, 2 spring rolls

S breadsticks, coconut water, 2x decaf tea with almond milk, half a doughnut

B - Oat milk porridge, mixed berries, walnut and mixed seeds

L - Buddha bowl with quinoa, tofu, chickpeas, avocado, sweet potato, peppers, tomatoes, spinach and sesame seeds

D - Mushroom, broccoli, ginger and garlic noodles

S - Soya yogurt, Brazil nuts

Yesterday I had 4 Oaties biscuits with a cup of tea, a portion of leftover keema hotpot and two Oreo crème egg cookies. Not my best day ever!

@Smittenkitchen Olive baguettes are my favourite. I always end up eating about half on my way home.

Yesterday -

B - tea with a splash of milk

S - coffee with milk

I realised when I started making dinner that I'd been busy with work and rushing around and had eaten literally nothing all day.

D - claypot shitake mushroom rice, Chinese marinated pork schnitzel, cucumber salad, rainbow chard with chilli sauce. Small brownie, clementine.

Today -

B - tea with a splash of milk

S - coffee with milk and a kiwi

L - leftovers from last night's dinner made as fried rice with a scrambled egg and spring onion, a ginger & yuzu kombucha

S - about to have a mug of potato, leek, kale soup and probably a small brownie.

D - will be tandoori chicken, dhal with spinach, cauliflower and either turmeric rice or naan, depending on how ambitious I'm feeling.

For yesterday, which was nightshift (so pretty much awake 22 hrs!).
baked banana walnut oatmeal
6 biscuits
satsuma
nakd bar
graze bar
2 shredded wheat with walnuts and prunes
kiwi
pear
2 buttered crumpets
protein oats, apple and berries
morrocan stew
roasted seaweed
tinned apricots
2 rice cakes
soya yoghurt
sesame snaps

Im basically a giant land whale who grazes all day!!LOL😂

L: leftover bulgar wheat with roasted veg , kimchi and chicken, an apple
D: Turkey spag bol with wholewheat spaghetti , green salad.
Drinks: green tea and water all day. Will probably have a square of 70% choc later

B - Barley porridge with walnuts, chia & flaxseeds, apple, blueberries and cinnamon

S - Mug of green veg soup, square of dark choc

L- leftover chorizo stew, side salad

S - handful of sour cream Kettle crisps

D - chicken and cashew biriyani

Toast with homemade humous and some cherry tomatoes and a cup of tea.

Some leftover vegetable stew I made on Sunday and needed using, served with a dollop of natural yogurt.

Cup of White tea and an apple.

Made a pot of earl grey tea about 4pm.

I'm going to the gym in about 30 minutes so will probably have some more fruit and some nuts before I head off and more water.

Dinner will be a homemade dal and some steamed broccoli and brown rice.

I've also drank a lot of water and will probably have some rooibos tea before bed and a little sweet treat as I have a lot of festive goodies still so might have a wee bit of chocolate or a mini mince pie.
