What did you eat today?
I love reading what people have (and getting new ideas/recipes).
My new year new habit is to have a side of veg with each meal (and eat it first).

Breakfast - Sourdough toast with soft cheese & bagel seasoning, side of cucumber/tomatoes,

Snack - Crisps

Lunch - Stovies with beetroot (traditional in my part of Scotland)

Snack - Christmas choc (trying to get through this)

Teatime snack - Bowl of homemade lentil & veg soup, a couple of crackers

Dinner - I am going to a pub quiz so will have a wee something to eat from their bar bites menu!

B BLT - Turkey rashers, iceberg lettuce and tomato with lighter than light mayo in a soft wholemeal pitta.

L Homemade beetroot Houmous with carrot, pepper and cucumber batons.

D Homemade chicken shawarma with salad, raita and homemade flatbread.

S Grapes, banana, protein yoghurt.

L - Potato and leek soup

D - Black bean, lentil, mushroom, quinoa and walnut tacos, avocado, salsa and corn on the cob

S - Dark chocolate,

Brunch:
2 slices sourdough toast with drizzle olive oil, rubbed garlic, mashed avocado and tomatoes
Half a homemade American pancake with berries, greek yoghurt and pecan nuts

Snack:
Extra dark chocolate with cherries
Half slice sourdough with butter

Dinner:
Homemade chicken, leek, mushroom and bacon pie made with short crust pastry top and bottom
Steamed carrots and purple sprouting broccoli

Lots of peppermint tea

B- two banana pancakes (pre done from M&S) and some Greek yoghurt

L- Turkey breast on a wholemeal roll and salad, a few Pringles

D- Grilles burger in a white roll with peas and a few chips

Snack- more pancakes after dinner- crepe style with chopped banana and peanut butter

B - wheatabix and sultanas..same as every morning.

L - Avocado spread in a sandwich and a packet of McCoys. I was supposed to have a banana but can't remember if I ate it!

D - Homemade macaroni cheese with peas in. Randomly some red pepper and a few King prawns on the side.

Satsuma and a milky cacao(sp?) drink.

So far today:
B: A high protein yoghurt with chia seeds and raspberries
Lunch: Chopped up broccoli mixed with two beaten eggs, half a tub of cottage cheese and some mozzarella baked in the oven for half an hour 😋 I’m trying to up my protein intake at the moment.
Had some dark chocolate with a cup of tea and dinner tonight will be spag bol.

B - Slice of Sourdough toast and peanut butter
S - A clementine, a few mixed spicy seeds and a couple of rosemary crackers
L - beans on one slice of seeded toast with grated cheese.
a handful of leftover Christmas chocolate Brussels sprouts that I found in the cupboard and a thin slice of lemon drizzle cake.
D - will be tomato and aubergine pasta.

Will try and avoid more snacks but can’t promise anything - it’s half term, I’m cold, I’m planning and marking so it’s just that kind of day.

Snack - Granola Bar

Lunch - Greek yogurt, chia seeds mixed through with blueberries, blackberries, raspberries and honey 😋 carrot sticks and a tangerine.

Dinner - will be pasta with pesto, garlic flatbread.

I have a crème egg for tonight too.

Snack - an apple

Dinner - sea bream fillet (dusted in flour and fried) with potatoes. Swede, carrots, cabbage and sweetcorn

Drinks - six cups of tea, a pint of squash, a can of Cherry Coke Zero

Lunch - egg and cottage cheese on toast with mixed seeds, grapes

Dinner - sausage and Mediterranean veg pasta with homemade focaccia
