What did you eat today?
I love reading what people have (and getting new ideas/recipes).
My new year new habit is to have a side of veg with each meal (and eat it first).

Breakfast - Sourdough toast with soft cheese & bagel seasoning, side of cucumber/tomatoes,

Snack - Crisps

Lunch - Stovies with beetroot (traditional in my part of Scotland)

Snack - Christmas choc (trying to get through this)

Teatime snack - Bowl of homemade lentil & veg soup, a couple of crackers

Dinner - I am going to a pub quiz so will have a wee something to eat from their bar bites menu!

Forgot my lunch at home so had a m and s 0% Greek yoghurt with cherry compote ( which was delicious) and a Pret egg mayo sandwich

dinner is cod and peas

Sandwich
seaded bread with
tomatoes, mushrooms and onions
grapes
2 oranges

I tried a great recipe last night
it’s similar to Chinese steamed buns but I used pancakes

Recipe
Make pancakes and set aside
Mix
I chopped leek
Several chopped spring onions
Grated cheese

Put a spoon of leek mix in centre of pancakes and fold over to a square

Fry in olive oil a few minutes each side till brown

Serve with a dip such as
s mix of
hoisin sauce
sweet chilli sauce
soya sauce
and a dash of oil preferably sesame

delicious

L a crumpet and some fruit
D seabass and veg
S will be popcorn (came on) craving something sweet, I know it’s going to happen.

Drinks, only drink water and tea.

Brunch - beans on granary toast with a bit of grated cheese.

chicken and chorizo jambalaya with chopped salad. It was a new recipe and was absolutely banging.

L - Ham and coleslaw baguette with some cheese squares on the side.
d- m&s lasagne with garlic dough balls
snacks - a pack of McCoy’s salt and vinegar
a small slice of Costco chocolate cake with cream
drinks - water

a can of cherry coke
a bottle of rubicon vits

Breakfast - nothing
Lunch - matje herring and cottage cheese on a slice of malted bread, a pear
Snack - a banana
Dinner - sea bream fillet that I fried with olives and capers, boiled potatoes, broccoli and carrots
Drinks - eight cups of tea and two pints of apple and pear squash

Today I’ve had 2 potato cakes. Butternut and chilli soup with a bit of brown bread. An apple
for dinner we have spring rolls, home made Chinese chicken curry and a homemade chinese beef and broccoli with egg fried rice dish. Not had the curry or the beef and broccoli before so we’ll see.

Egg fried rice with prawns. onion, red pepper, carrot, cashew nuts, garlic, chilli, ginger
Apple

Dinner
Vegetable soup.

L: 1/2 carton soup (Veg) with cottage cheese and linseed crackers
D: Stir fry with posh fish fingers
S: 2 slices low carb bread with cottage cheese; muller protein mousse; some leftover chilli peanuts from Christmas.

D whole vegan pizza. Few grapes, a satsuma, a white coconut collab choc pot and 2 sweets

S nakd bar and a protein bar as 4am breastfeeding snacks. Decaf coffee/tea with almond milk, breadsticks, protein shake

approx 50g homemade baked beans with 2 teaspoons of cia seeds.
Half a tin of mackerel in tomato sauce.
Small piece of blue cheese.
5 prunes
1 slice homemade sourdough with butter.
During day
Half a scone with clotted cream and jam.
100 ml of homemade kefir.
Dinner
Small salad.
Hake, prosciutto and prawns with asparagus, red pepper and carrots.

Dark orange chocolate, horlicks. Wild Friday night.

butternut and chilli soup - 2 oatcakes.
roast chicken, chips, chick pea salad, french stick, salad.
I’m going out this evening and will have a load of red wine to get over the horror of the meeting I have to get through first….
