What did you eat today?
I love reading what people have (and getting new ideas/recipes).
My new year new habit is to have a side of veg with each meal (and eat it first).

Breakfast - Sourdough toast with soft cheese & bagel seasoning, side of cucumber/tomatoes,

Snack - Crisps

Lunch - Stovies with beetroot (traditional in my part of Scotland)

Snack - Christmas choc (trying to get through this)

Teatime snack - Bowl of homemade lentil & veg soup, a couple of crackers

Dinner - I am going to a pub quiz so will have a wee something to eat from their bar bites menu!

Homemade muesli concoction with kefir and banana.

Baked potato with butter and cheese and tuna and red cabbage coleslaw.

Decaf café con leche with a mini ensaimada - traditional Balearic pastry with custard topping and it had a cherry on top!

Cheddar and goats cheese omelette with homemeal bread and butter.
Orange.

*wholemeal not homemeal, had a total brain fail there, a result of not enough sleep, small DC and spending a lot of the day teaching and talking to people who can barely speak English 😅

Breakfast : porridge made with flax and chia, maple syrup. 2 satsumas.

post gym snack : banana and half handful of nuts

lunch: 3 hard boiled eggs and salad (white and red cabbage, carrot, onion etc with sherry vinegar) .

dinner: large bowl HM vegetable and lentil soup.

snacks : more carrots and fruit. Few spoons of ff cottage cheese. 50grams dark chocolate.

drinks : tea, water and too much Coke Zero!

B: Overnight oats made with banana protein powder, ground flaxseed, chia seeds, mango and honey

L: Coffee and caramel Huel and an apple

Pre-gym snack: Cottage cheese and honey

D: Marmite pasta

Missed a few, not been feeling too well so not actually been eating much. Yesterday -

B - none
L - greek yoghurt with berries and nut butter and milled seeds
D - homemade chicken and veg soup

Nothing yet today. Got such a sore throat so chewing and swallowing is offputting!

Yesterday I had Greek yoghurt with berries.
lunch was home made broccoli and Stilton soup - French stick.
roast pork, roast potatoes, green beans, carrots, sprouts, spring greens, swede and gravy.

today I’ve had a cheese hot cross bun and a coffee. Meeting a friend to watch a movie (garden leave is going well!) and we are having lunch - probably half a pizza, some fries, a salad and a slaw (it’s what we have every time!) I have a meeting tonight and I’ll be going straight there from the cinema - whatever I can find in M and S food hall that I can shovel down me and is vaguely vegetably for dinner.

Wholemeal toast with grilled mushrooms and plum tomatoes.

Roast chicken breast, new potatoes, carrots, broccoli and peas with a small amount of gravy (made from granules as I’m very low fat currently).

Fat free Greek yogurt with a banana, some raspberries and blueberries, plus a sprinkling of chia seeds.

Two very large mugs of strong tea with a bit of milk.

Espresso coffee with hot milk.

Ham and egg mayonnaise sandwich on granary bread. Apple. Muller salted caramel Greek yogurt.

Chicken and chorizo tray bake with potatoes, red and yellow pepper, red onion, tomatoes, garlic. Steamed tenderstem broccoli.

B- work day and I once again failed to get organised!

L- Itsu katsu instant noodle pot, 3 salt and vinegar rice cakes

D- Thai red curry and brown rice, random assortment of veg on the side that needed usinh

Snacks- cadburys biscoff egg, a banana, some water melon and then two crumpets with butter and marmite

L roasted veg, avocado and sun dried tomato panini, (disappointingly) small decaf oat latte

D bit of a mismatch dinner of small pack of veggie sushi, edamame beans, 3 quorn sausages, beetroot, bit of hummus and baba ganoush, soya protein yoghurt with some grapes/nuts/dried fruit

S decaf tea and coffee with oat milk/soya milk, protein bar, half a banana pancake

Wednesday - banana for breakfast; cottage cheese, a chopped-up apple, pumpkin seeds and sultanas for lunch; stir-fried king prawns with edamame bean and green veg stir-fry veg pack, firecracker sauce from the supermarket, egg noodles and toasted sesame seeds for dinner. Also had loads of grapes as a snack, eight cups of tea and a pint of apple & pear squash.

Yesterday - banana for breakfast; cottage cheese, a chopped-up pear, walnuts and sultanas for lunch; homemade chilli con carne and brown basmati rice for dinner. Also had six or seven cups of tea and a can of Cherry Coke Zero. I also had a random handful of sultanas mid-afternoon, and while I was out in the morning I had a couple of boiled sweets (aniseed twists!) which I found lurking in my bag from about a month ago.

Today I've had nothing for breakfast, and am about to have a Reuben sandwich from a local deli for lunch, then we're going out to a vegetarian Indian place for dinner where I invariably end up having bel puri, okra fries, paneer kadai and parathas. I'll probably have a couple of cocktails there, and then we're going to a gig where I'll probably have a pint of lager.
