What did you eat today?
I love reading what people have (and getting new ideas/recipes).
My new year new habit is to have a side of veg with each meal (and eat it first).

Breakfast - Sourdough toast with soft cheese & bagel seasoning, side of cucumber/tomatoes,

Snack - Crisps

Lunch - Stovies with beetroot (traditional in my part of Scotland)

Snack - Christmas choc (trying to get through this)

Teatime snack - Bowl of homemade lentil & veg soup, a couple of crackers

Dinner - I am going to a pub quiz so will have a wee something to eat from their bar bites menu!

Today

Breakfast - Oat milk porridge, apple, banana, walnuts and flaxseeds

Lunch - Leftover vegetable stew on jacket potato

Dinner - Lentil and mushroom pasta

Snacks - Apple and peanut butter, dark chocolate

L- chicken noodle soup and a wholemeal roll

D- vegan kebab from German doner kebab and some spicy chips

Breakfast - Carrot, beetroot, orange, pineapple, ginger, turmeric, lime and chilli fresh juice. (We’ve all got stinking colds at the moment so DH dug out the juicer and threw anything he thought might be vaguely beneficial at it!)

Snack - cranberry and pistachio biscotti

Lunch - Almond butter on wholemeal toast (2 small slices), kvarg yoghurt thing, raspberries and blackberries

Dinner - homemade butter chicken and basmati rice, tomato salad, poppadom from a packet with mango chutney

Was looking forward to a big glass of wine or maybe some of the fancy gin I got for Christmas but feeling too snotty and bleurgh so hot honey and lemon it is

L lentil and vegetable soup, one slice of sourdough, avocado and seeds

D Greek falafel salad wrap, chips, glass of shloer, coconut chocolate pot and 2 squares Lindt dark chocolate

S decaf tea and coffee with soya/oat milk, coconut macaroon, two digestives

L - Mixed beans, quinoa, hummus, lettuce, tomatoes, sweetcorn, peppers and onion

Two cups of tea when I woke up
About 1pm, a mango and ginger juice shot thing a company was handing out free in town
About 2.30pm, a chai latte and an apple crumble slice thing in Caffè Nero
About 4pm, a slice of malted bread and cream cheese; a banana
About 7pm, sardines on two slices of toast and a Penguin biscuit
Four cups of tea

I promise on most days I do eat proper balanced meals with vegetables 😂

B: overnight soaked oats with kefir, mixed berry chia seed jam, raspberries, blueberries, pecans, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds and sesame seeds
coffee with oat milk

Post parkrun brunch: 2 homemade waffles with butter and icing sugar (I was volunteering not running though so not sure why I was so hungry!)

L: tomato soup, bread, cucumber, Boursin, Parma ham, grapes, coffee

snack: friend’s home made cupcake

dinner: pasta with leftover dill and broad bean pesto, salmon

B- maple and bacon pancakes from Tim Hortons (a rare treat as waiting for my mot to be done)

L- chicken and vegetable soup
and a wholemeal roll

D- 1/2 a stone bake vegetable pizza and salad

Snacks- mini egg cake bar, some jelly and random party nibbles at a tea party. Biscoff ice cream sandwich in the evening

B: Overnight oats made with banana protein powder, ground flaxseed, chia seeds, blueberries and raspberries

L: A Greggs corned beef bake, some M&S mini rolls, and some grapes

D: 2/3 of a Lidl macaroni cheese that's meant to serve two, and some Cadburys dairy milk

Lunch: bowl of skyr with a chopped up apple and sunflower and pumpkin seeds
Dinner: Haven’t had it yet, but it’s going to be a Spanish roast chicken with a warm chickpea and watercress salad

Dinner - Beef stew with mash and green beans
