What did you eat today?
I love reading what people have (and getting new ideas/recipes).
My new year new habit is to have a side of veg with each meal (and eat it first).

Breakfast - Sourdough toast with soft cheese & bagel seasoning, side of cucumber/tomatoes,

Snack - Crisps

Lunch - Stovies with beetroot (traditional in my part of Scotland)

Snack - Christmas choc (trying to get through this)

Teatime snack - Bowl of homemade lentil & veg soup, a couple of crackers

Dinner - I am going to a pub quiz so will have a wee something to eat from their bar bites menu!

I got carried away today had chicken drumsticks and some wings which I was going to have with salad / rice.
However I ended up doing a lovely roast dinner with roast potatoes. stuffing, yorkshire puds, vegetables with gravey.
I dont know why I changed my mind but it was lovely.
Edited to add during the day just had 3 coffees and small bowl of noodles.

B: sourdough toast with mashed limey avocado, toasted seeds, olive oil and a fried egg (was soooo good)

Kids’ leftover cocoa overnight oats, added lots of raspberries (and seeds and nuts)

morning snack: half a home made pitta bread leftover from DD’s lunch box. Was nice toasted with butter 😂

lunch: Thai beef and leek stew with babycorn, mangetout and brown rice. Was EPIC. 10/10 (if I say so myself - I cooked it on Sunday!)

Snack: sourdough toast with butter and mixed berry and chia seed jam, plus handful of sugar snap peas and pistachios while cooking dinner

dinner: pasta with olive oil, garlic, onion and spring greens. Lots of Parmesan.

lots of fennel teas to drink. I’ve got an injury which means I’m basically inactive and I’m struggling as usually I can eat what I want. I’m trying not to put too much weight on. But it’s hard.

L small pitta bread with salami and Havarti, mixed salad with creme fraiche dressing

D pasta with mushrooms, tomato, olives, bacon, peppers, garlic and feta.

Lunch - small crusty brown seeded roll with ham
Packet of low fat crisps

Snacks - 3 random quality street I found whilst doing house work.

Dinner tonight will be - low fat (3% fat) meat balls with home made tomato sauce and pasta.

B- once again missed as work days and leaving the house on time aren’t going well!

L- Itsu Katsu instant noodle pot, a banana and some popchips

D- spaghetti carbonara and a slice of garlic bread, broccoli

then I went to sleep with a migraine and woke up starving so I’ve just eaten two buttered crumpets, a bowl of Frosties with almond milk and a mini mars bar!

B - just tea as not hungry at all
L- what should have been breakfast - Greek yogurt, biomel, strawberries, nut butter and pumpkin seeds
D - Cullen skink, slice of homemade wholemeal bread and butter.

Snacks - 3x dark chocolate digestive, couple of haribo and 2 cadburys heroes. I blame DH sat there munching away in front of me I had a total willpower failure!

Strong tea with a little milk, single espresso with hot oat milk and 1 tsp sugar.

Heinz oxtail soup and a warm naan with a bit of melted butter.

Handful salted peanuts.

Another tea.

Two smoked haddock and cheese sauce fishcakes, loads of roasted cauliflower, peas.

2 glasses French rose wine.

To all the posters having coffee with collagen, I’m curious! I used to get a lot of ads for collagen supplements. Do they work??
