What did you eat today?
I love reading what people have (and getting new ideas/recipes).
My new year new habit is to have a side of veg with each meal (and eat it first).

Breakfast - Sourdough toast with soft cheese & bagel seasoning, side of cucumber/tomatoes,

Snack - Crisps

Lunch - Stovies with beetroot (traditional in my part of Scotland)

Snack - Christmas choc (trying to get through this)

Teatime snack - Bowl of homemade lentil & veg soup, a couple of crackers

Dinner - I am going to a pub quiz so will have a wee something to eat from their bar bites menu!

Yesterday

pork in apple and mustard sauce with
kale and asparagus

Greek yogurt,berries,honey and cinnamon
spoon of peanut butter

No breakfast, I don't eat it.
Lunch - wholewheat thin protein bagel with nuts and seeds with no butter, a slice of edam and a slice of vegetarian ham and a chopped tomato. An apple.
Dinner will be vegetable soup with a sprinkling of mature cheddar and some blueberries.
Im on my last stretch of mounjaro so I can't eat much. 5 stone gone, half a stone to go.

Chai latte

Graze cherry bakewell, M&S sweet and salty nut mix

Protein flatbread with bacon, avocado, tomato, sriracha, mayo

Some cheddars

Veggie bolognaise (carrot, onion, tomato, courgette, mushroom, lentils, veggie mince) with spaghetti and cheese + side of broccoli

Greek yogurt raspberries and granola sprinkled on top.broccoli and Stilton soup (homemade)
jacket spud with tuna and cheese, with chick pea and feta salad, coleslaw and mixed leaves.

i had a mini dairy milk and an apple mid afternoon. I don’t think lunch filled me up…

B - coffee and a satsuma
L - small poke bowl with sticky rice, prawns, sugar snaps, spring onion, baby cucumber, mango, soy sauce, lime juice, pickled ginger and black sesame seeds
D - chicken breast in tomato sauce topped with mozzarella, couscous and roast vegetables
S - handful of cashews and raisins, 3 marshmallows, 3 garlic crackers

Were they disappointing or worth it? I bought an Angel Delight once for the same reason and it was horrible .

I’ve had very little appetite today and feeling a bit queasy all day, really hope I’m not coming down with something.

So no breakfast.

L - Greek yogurt with strawberries, biomel, some nut butter and pumpkin seeds.

D - homemade chicken and veg soup. Half a slice granary bread.

No but I would like to be. 😂My BMI is 24 so its not too bad but I would prefer to lose a stone. I had DIEP surgery following cancer treatment and my stomach is flat as they take from the stomach but I am wider than I would like around the hips and thighs. Though I am only on day 5 and I love cakes and may give up quite easily.

D- half a thin crust vegetable pizza and a big salad

Snacks- shared a tea cake with my daughter when we were out, a large handful granola sprinkled over vanilla icecream, two crumpets with butter and marmite

D butternut and red pepper curry soup served with bacon, pumpkin seeds and croutons on top.
3 Danish pancake balls with strawberry jam and icing sugar

cheese on toast with HP sauce.
Ramen (pork and veg) absolutely lovely.
dinner is HM chicken, spinach and mushroom curry, with dahl, kachumber, chutney, poppadoms, paratha and rice.

I’m making the kachumber and trying to make the onion/tomato chutney akin to the one in restaurants .

The next few days will be awful food wise (I’m away working) so cramming veg in now.

Scrambled eggs for breakfast
left over bolognaise for lunch followed by a couple of pieces of chocolate
pearl barley and root veg stew for dinner and will probably have a banana after

L- Costa lunch with my daughter, we got a ham and cheese toastie and a cheese and beans one and had hslf of each

D- beef burger done in the air fryer, a wholemeal roll and some air fryer sweet potato fries. I like also had broccoli and peas.

Snacks- shared a teacake with my daughter at soft play, had a banana when we got home and tonight I was starving so had a big bowl of 5% Greek yoghurt with 40g granola, another banana and some almond butter

S- carrots and gherkins dipped in a little mayo

D Chicken breast in a paprika sauce with lemon broccoli and potatoes. A pear and square of dark choc.
Water , green tea all day and now a camomile tea.

D - Pink pesto, prawn and pepper linguine (Gousto)

Also ate 3 chocolate truffles that were divine, a cold roast potato and a celery stick.

Feeling rather off my food at the moment

today -
Packet of bbq proper chips
slice of rye toast with some tomatoes
2x slices of toast with butter and bovril
