What did you eat today?
I love reading what people have (and getting new ideas/recipes).
My new year new habit is to have a side of veg with each meal (and eat it first).

Breakfast - Sourdough toast with soft cheese & bagel seasoning, side of cucumber/tomatoes,

Snack - Crisps

Lunch - Stovies with beetroot (traditional in my part of Scotland)

Snack - Christmas choc (trying to get through this)

Teatime snack - Bowl of homemade lentil & veg soup, a couple of crackers

Dinner - I am going to a pub quiz so will have a wee something to eat from their bar bites menu!

L- chicken noodle soup and an English muffin with butter

D- turkey korma and rice, apple pie and custard

Snacks: a banana, a nakd bar and three quality street

D a whole vegan pizza, oven chips, steamed veg. Mint chocolate vegan ice cream, vegan choc

S decaf teas and coffees with oat milk or almond milk

Been in London for a long weekend:
Breakfast ( buffet) two pancakes, a croissant, two slices of toast, yogurt and berry compote, flat white, glass of OJ
Lunch: 1/2 granola bar and a shortbread biscuit and a latte
Snack: sour sweets
Supper: half a vegan sarny from Gail's bakery, half a sweet potato salad bowl and half a yogurt bowl ( shared a too good to go bag) and some sparkling water.

L: three bean salad with cottage cheese, apple.

D: turkey chilli con carne with basmati rice.

An apple, a pear and a handful of mixed unsalted nuts. It’s been a weird day, I would normally eat better than that! I’m going to have a big bowl of thick turkey and vegetable broth for dinner, with homemade soda bread and some cut up mixed tropical fruit for dessert.

Lunch: half a portion of cheesy chips, pint of OJ and lemonade
Chocolate Christmas coin
Carrot sticks, grapes and mango
Small apple and cinnamon pastry
White decaf coffee

Not a great day food wise. Working nights this week and a bit out of routine.

D: Thai chicken soup, wholegrain toast, a strawberry protein yoghurt

Snacks: Couple of lotus biscuits, plus a couple of cups each of tea and coffee

B: Christmas cake and an orange.
S: cherries and another orange.
L: left over Christmas cheese, crackers, pickled things and some seaweed crisps.
S: more cherries.
D: creamy chicken and veg pasta and garlic bread.

D- jacket potato with cheese and beans, side of broccoli

Snack- handful mini eggs left over from baking, a banana with some custard, 3 cream crackers with cream cheese and marmite

L no proper lunch but had a vegan pastel de nata and an oat latte in a cafe

D Wagamamas katsu rice noodles with tofu and vegetables, edamame beans. Small amount of coconut yoghurt, prunes, mango and sprinkle of seeds and coconut

S decaf teas and coffees with almond milk, breadsticks, hot cross bun after an afternoon walk

Lunch- homemade chicken and rice soup. A coconut yoghurt with some dark chocolate chips and toasted coconut flakes.
Snack- hot chocolate made with skimmed milk and a shot of espresso- actually that’s a mocha lol
Tea- 3 egg omelette with mixed peppers and cheese with a large side salad.
defrosted raspberries with Greek yoghurt and a handful of homemade granola

Two soft boiled eggs on one very thick slice of wholewheat toast, sprinkle of ketchup, avocado on the side, two oat milk coffees, two cups of hot water for breakfast.

One banana at lunchtime, one apple, a small latte, glass of water, handful of crisps mid afternoon.

Small thin crust pizza with salad this evening. Handful of blackberries, a few lychees.

Occasional small piece of dark chocolate from my fridge stash.

Will have a Bailey's coffee before bed.

L: Some chicken, cheese and crackers

D: Spaghetti bolognaise with garlic bread. Peach and raspberry crumble and Greek yoghurt for after.

S: Dark chocolate digestive.
