What did you eat today?
I love reading what people have (and getting new ideas/recipes).
My new year new habit is to have a side of veg with each meal (and eat it first).

Breakfast - Sourdough toast with soft cheese & bagel seasoning, side of cucumber/tomatoes,

Snack - Crisps

Lunch - Stovies with beetroot (traditional in my part of Scotland)

Snack - Christmas choc (trying to get through this)

Teatime snack - Bowl of homemade lentil & veg soup, a couple of crackers

Dinner - I am going to a pub quiz so will have a wee something to eat from their bar bites menu!

thai chicken curry with baby corn and sugar snap peas and cauliflower rice

B- missed it again! Work days are challenging me!

L- chicken ramen noodles and a banana

D- 1/2 a fajita chicken pizza and a salad

Snacks- 2 M&S chocolate chip cookies from the bakery, half a punnet of grapes

B: 2 slices of sourdough toast with mashed avocado, chilli flakes and pumpkin seeds.
L: salad with cottage cheese and mixed beans, an apple
D: wholemeal pita with baked chicken thighs, homemeade red cabbage coleslaw and salad and feta.
2 glasses of red wine, espresso and water

No breakfast

Lunch - english muffin with 2 fried eggs , brunch bar and an Orange

post work out snack - smoothie with full scoop of strawberry protein powder, strawberries, apple and mango blended with water

Tea- homemade chicken, veg and rice soup (big bowl) and some homemade granola with a coconut yoghurt and some chocolate chips mixed in for dessert.

lots of water and too many coffees

B - Soya milk porridge, mango, dried apricots, walnuts and flaxseeds

L - Mushrooms and spinach on toast

D - Sweet potato, chickpea and spinach stew with quinoa

S - Soya yogurt, almonds and pistachios

B: Overnight oats with vanilla protein powder, chia seeds, ground flaxseed, raspberries, blueberries, pecans, and a dollop of Greek yoghurt

A couple of dates mid morning

L: Chicken and avocado salad, and some strawberry skyr

D: A Lidl smoky chicken and grain salad, some Greek yoghurt and honey.

A few squares of dark chocolate and a couple of hobnobs after going to the gym, and a few cups of tea during the day (plus a lot of water).

Breakfast - Oat milk porridge, prunes, walnuts and flaxseed
Lunch - 3 bean soup and pitta bread
Dinner - Lentil and aubergine pasta bolognese, broccoli
Snacks - Banana, almond and chia seed smoothie, dark chocolate

Yesterday I was snowed under with work and then rushing around all day

1 tea, 1 coffee, 1 sparkling elderflower presse

D- We were out with friends at a Greek restaurant, sharing plates, so some of - taramasalata, tzatziki, courgette fritters, greek salad, spicy feta dip and an iberico pork shish kebab.
1 negroni
1 glass red wine

Today

B - 2 teas with milk

L - Homemade cream of mushroom soup, 2 rye crackers with peanut butter, 1 oreo

S - another cup of tea and a bowl of dry bran flakes with sultanas (they're organic bran flakes and are kind of gross. I'm the only person who'll eat them, so trying to finish them).

D - out at a dinner party, so will be a surprise. These friends are very good cooks, so looking forward to the food as well as the company.

Breakfast - a cappuccino and a pistachio cannoli in an Italian café. Oh my goodness it was delicious!

Lunch - cheese, crackers some mango and a glass of grapefruit juice

Dinner - nachos topped with avocado, sour cream and black beans. Plus a glass of wine.

B- porridge made with almond milk, frozen berries and cinnamon

L- English muffin toasted with some ham and salad, cucumber and celery sticks on the side and a handful pretzels

D- gammon steak, root vegetable and potato mash, cabbage and leeks (pineapple ring on the gammon, of course!)

Snacks- 5% Greek yoghurt with banana and honey, a rocky bar, two lotus biscuits biscuits and a plum

A sausage with grilled tomatoes this morning
a yorkshire pudding with potted meat and onion gravy, steak and chips, creamed spinach, sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream ice cream - 2 spicy margaritas, 2 glasses of red wine and a lovely cherry cocktail (lunch at Hawksmoor then a cocktail in a bar).
Dinner will be a lie down and maybe a bit of soup (or some more wine!)

B caramel soya latte, 1 prune, quarter of an apple, protein soya yogurt

L quorn sausage sandwich, very small bowl of lentil and vegetable soup, salad with seeds. Coconut yoghurt, prunes, 2 sweets

D quorn mince and vegetable bolognese on chips, tiny bit of avocado. Vegan chocolate

S decaf teas and coffee, breadsticks

L: Peanut butter sandwich, half an avocado, and some tortilla chips (a combination also known as 'we need to go shopping' 😆 )

D DP is making beetroot and quinoa burgers

roast lamb,dauphinois potatoes,carrots,peas and green beans with gravy.

B - crunchy nut cornflakes, followed by two pieces of white toast with salted butter.

Lunch - ate breakfast late and not really hungry so just picked here and there - some cherry tomatoes, a spoonful of crunchy peanut butter, half an apple split with DD who never manages a full one, some pecans and pistachios.

Dinner - wholewheat noodles with sticky garlic chicken, baby corn and green beans.

Few pieces of turrón which we were given for Christmas.

B : mango sorbet w single cream, coffee
S : 6 left over frozen spinach and ricotta ravioli. Glass of wine.
Late lunch (early supper) : 2 day old veg, lentil and feta filo pastry pie.
Glass of wine.
Remains to be seen what I can forage for the evening ! Have a whole artichoke waiting to be devoured, so in my sights. And another glass of wine 😬
God I would love a jacket spud !
