I actually stop reading some posts because I can't be arsed to try and work out what is being said. Why do people put DS instead of son? What is STBX?

It makes people feel important that they are in the know and others aren't.
Abbreviations are stupid and ignorant.

It really doesn’t, given that 90% are obvious from the context, and the meanings of rest can be readily found. It’s not like some Freemason initiation ritual.

Emeraldforest · 30/12/2025 10:37

I don't use them but then I'm extremely old and never got into text speak. I like D dog though, think I might have to work D rabbit and D cats into something.

Tuesdayschild50 · 30/12/2025 11:30

I find them annoying too ... I've worked some out but can't be arsed especially when a post is pages long .

Why do you use abbreviations then @Snakebite61 ? If they are stupid and ignorant?

What is your view on emojis?

Well yes, she does. In her posts she uses both abbreviations and emojis.
