What’s not coming in your Xmas grocery order

Light hearted. I know it’s not the end of the world.

So Sainsburys have emailed.

no spiced red cabbage and they’ve substituted cauliflower cheese for it (yuck)

no pigs in blankets and they’ve substituted sausage rolls instead 🤷🏻‍♀️

no giant smarties tube and they’ve substituted white smarties. No thanks

no nice crisps and they’ve substituted horrible crisps.

eleven things missing in total. Looks like I’m going to have to actually visit a supermarket 😆

Click and collecting in an hour, Tesco receipt says 3 substitutions of which 2 out of 3 are acceptable. Happy with that.

My Tesco came yesterday all present and correct which is brilliant

my only down is the melon isn’t ripe I asked for a nice ripe one but understand that isn’t always possible. It will good at some point .

Not an online order, but my milkman. Loads of orange juice ordered, along with cream and extra milk. All the dairy turned up but...no orange juice. Trying to decide whether to go out and brave the shops or just do without.

Tesco delivery just arrived - Ardennes pâté unavailable , but to be honest I can’t remember ordering it, so no problem.
Had two 210gm Finest fillet steaks as sub for one 240gm aged fillet, which is a very welcome Christmas bonus !

If it’s a normal delivery slot (which assuming it is as you amended) it’s not pre ordered. You get what is available. That’s different to a specific Christmas order which is reserved for you.

But I had to order it by a certain date to guarantee it and it was marked as Christmas order ( in gold writing) . Why did I have to do that ? It was part of a bigger shop I was amending.

That’s very kind, I can swap for some red cabbage if you like, I ordered some and then bought some extra frozen as I had heard of cabbage shortages! I’m the only person in the family that eats it, so now I have loads!

Morrisons missed off my daughter's nappies and my smoked salmon!

I was not impressed as had to go to an actual shop as only two nappies left! Pleasantly surprised to find it wasn't busy; plenty of smoked salmon on the shelves and I even picked up a tub of roses and the last bottle of mulled wine!
