Has anyone got an estimated date for when they died? I had impression they could have died many days before they were found.

The post I replied to was one stating that the original media reports contained the stabbing information. Stating that that wasn't the case in all original media reports is a perfectly normal thing to post.

When crimes like this happen the different ways the reporting is dealt with is very often part of the discussions. Especially when many hours later different places are still getting different reporting.

Your ranting and thread policing is ridiculous and I won't be engaging further.

So anyone posting after that time speculating about murder suicide, burglary or carbon monoxide poisoning simply hadn't read the opening post or first few posts.

And if you actually read what I wrote you'll see I didn't do that...

I was commenting on the initial reporting, and then the changes the later reporting brought.

It's in People magazine and The New York Post.

They are huge publications. They don't post factual things unless there is a lot of evidence to support it.

They'd be foolish to do otherwise.

The BBC is waiting for an official statement.

People magazine and the New York Post will get sued to hell and back if they're wrong.

I'm 99% sure they'll be right.

The NYTimes quotes the police as saying “a suspect is not being sought,” i.e., they’re not seeking who did it, they already have him. Take this with a grain of unsubstantiated salt, but the rumor is he’s being evaluated by a psychiatrist to see if he’s able to undergo questioning.

These are huge media outlets.

People magazine is owned by People inc, a media giant and the NY post is owned by the Murdoch group.

They don't post factual things unless they have numerous sources that could be a defence in court. Gossip opinions is a different thing altogether, they are posting these things as facts they could defend in court.

This isn't a case of 'someone on X or Facebook said'.

This isn’t idle gossip. I’m sure they would triple check sources, at the very least, before naming someone as a double murderer.
