Is anyone else waiting for anything to come of Jack Smith's new eagerness to testify in public about what he found about Trump but didn't use because Trump was the sitting president? At the moment he's only testified in a closed session to a congressional committee, recently, but he clearly wants to say things more openly now.

I’ve just had a thought, having been subjected to Trump on the Greek news this evening (I think I’ve mentioned before, my husband has a special form of torture he uses on me, possibly in an attempt to hasten my death by raising my blood pressure to fatal stroke or heart attack level, whereby he imposes that man’s voice and picture on me in the guise of keeping me up to date with politics) - are there (unfaked) audience figures for his TV appearances of this kind, and if so, how low did they go after last night’s performance?

I veer from 'he has truly lost his teeny tiny mind' to 'arrogance knows no bounds'. Then I wonder how much more of this can we take before 'somebody does something'.

We are now just a wee bit under a year to the midterms. At my age it's not often I wish time had wings, but I surely do now. Our only hope is a Blue Wave to curb some of his excesses.
