Not sure why he doesn’t just go and work for GB News. It’s what he obviously wants.

It's so obvious that it can be seen from outer space.

@BestIsWest, I haven't tried it, but I'd need to think of something to translate to see if it would mess it up.
It told me to use Google Translate. Smile

@countrygirl99 , I imagine it would. Does it try to use English grammar?

Edited

It doesn't appear to use any recognisable grammar. But Finnish grammar is very complex so if software can put it's head in it's hands and cry that would probably account for it.

placemats · 01/12/2025 19:34

Ai translation of Irish is very sketchy. Irish is grammatically tricky and as equally impossible to spell if going high, but colloquially no one cares much.

DuncinToffee · 01/12/2025 19:39

We gone from the Rapture to Whamageddon?

I don't mind the song and happily sing along

OP posts:
Piggywaspushed · 01/12/2025 19:51

I actually consigned a book called Rapture to a Firefighter's recycling bin today. I think I may therefore have averted the event.

placemats · 01/12/2025 19:51

I love both Rapture (Blondie) and Last Christmas (Wham!).

Can sing neither but am always forgiven.

pointythings · 01/12/2025 20:26

RafaistheKingofClay · 01/12/2025 18:57

AIBU to think that Whamageddon is ruining the high street?

No, the high street is ruining Whamageddon.

Karistyleaftea · 01/12/2025 22:09

Chris Mason, what is his problem?

Political bias.

@blossomtoes Yep.
BBC is not biased.
Fair representation of both sides.
As if.

A reminder of how the BBC covered Boris Johnson's long record of lying, as being a "complicated relationship with the truth".

https://bsky.app/profile/adambienkov.bsky.social/post/3m6wpgkw3rs2l

Yeah, from what I remember we spent 2019-2022 deciding that lying wasn’t an issue, all politicians do it and that the Ministerial Code was just decorative.

Notonthestairs · 02/12/2025 08:39

Johnson broke the ministerial code dozens of times and then redrafted it to remove sanctions. But all the time he retained vast amounts of goodwill from the BBC/Telegraph/Times etc and from the same posters who are now furiously typing about Reeves.

PandoraSocks · 02/12/2025 08:51

The Telegraph is especially ridiculous. Every day it starts screaming about a different scapegoat. I should unsubscribe to the email updates, but it is quite amusing. Can it, and the posters who regurgitate everything, keep up this level of hyperbole for the next three and a half years?

Johnson lied to the Queen to prorogue Parliament. People seem to have forgotten about that very quickly.

Spite is a great energiser and motivator so sadly quite possible

PandoraSocks · 02/12/2025 09:24

No surprise there. Wankers.

Another example of Telegraph lies spin. The £71k benefit equivalent was bollocks.

https://benefitsinthefuture.com/lies-damned-lies-and-the-telegraph/

Is that the example that is being used on all the threads?

Yes, I think it has been used a lot, though I have hidden a lot of those threads.

Maybe mnhq should be made aware? They have said they want to tighten things up.

DuncinToffee · 02/12/2025 09:33

Yes. I found the document it was based on and asked which page the workings were on. Tumbleweed. It was another Telegraph work of fiction.

SerendipityJane · 02/12/2025 10:17

Seems the Express are on a mission to make Keir much more popular.

Thanks, I saw people posting screenshots of it and using it it without questioning.

I think IDS is connected to that think tank.
