Has anyone had any Little Treats from Waitrose yet?

Am wondering what the Little Treats actually involve?

I am still getting the personalised vouchers, are other people not getting these? But they’re every 2 weeks (used to be every week) and always for the same thing (which happen to be my most frequent purchases). It would be nice if they changed some weeks but it’s useful to get 50p off milk every fortnight.

I think a lot of people, me included, appreciated the value of getting useful/necessary free items more than sweets/treats.

I wouldn't personally describe fresh fruit juice as a sweet or a treat. Far from it.

LamentableShoes · 28/01/2026 16:58

Fruit juice has tons of sugars, on a par with Coke - of course it's sweet! If it wasn't I'd drink gallons of it as it's so tasty.

Anyway, this week my (normal) personalised vouchers are far more sensible - milk, cheese etc which I buy all the time.

SauvignonBlanche · 30/01/2026 17:59

Me too, I finally got my first vouchers of the year for milk, eggs and Greek yogurt.

JacknDiane · 30/01/2026 23:20

I got a free Dorset cereals last week.

I’ve had a free 900ml bottle of Innocent Fruit Juice and a packet of Dorset Cereals Muesli. Not treats exactly but I’m grateful for anything.

Crikeyalmighty · 31/01/2026 17:49

I got the Dorset cereal today which is great as my H loves muesli

JacknDiane · 31/01/2026 21:19

I got the cereal and the orange juice

I got over the line for the Dorset cereal yesterday so will pick that up next time I'm in, I don't eat cereal but DH likes the Dorset ones.

It really is the meanest, most tight-fisted and patronising of all the supermarket loyalty schemes.

Try working for them....waitrose and JL pay their "partner's " about 18p above minimum wage.

I did, I worked part time on tills for four years between redundancy and state pension age a few years ago. During lockdown, the disastrous female CEO, redesign of business dress, but I did get two bonuses, and a free turkey crown each Christmas! Not long enough to keep partner discount when retired, unfortunately.

catinateacup · 02/02/2026 09:21

I spend a fucking fortune in Waitrose and never get any of these! What am I doing wrong?

YourWinter · 02/02/2026 09:26

I don’t shop there every week, only when I get a voucher for £1.50 off cat litter or more favourite muesli. I had a Little Treat voucher for cinnamon knots but they were out of stock on both visits, and my last one for jam, I think, expired before I got back there. As almost everything is priced higher than any other supermarket, and my local branch is a 15 mile round trip and not near any other shops, it’s seldom worth the journey for a few 50p vouchers off already overpriced products. The free coffee is better than Morrisons, though.

Do you have the app linked to your My Waitrose card? Ask at the Welcome Desk if you need help setting it up.

I do, but I normally use my key fob card, and maybe that’s why?

Vouchers and Little Treats are in the app, it won’t matter whether you’re scanning a key fob or the My Waitrose card on the app.

You select which vouchers you want to use and they’re applied automatically at checkout.

Edited

Then I don’t know why I never get any. My treats bar is always stuck on the thing that says “You’re £50 away from your next treat”, yet I regularly spend (much!) more than that! 🙁

Summerhillsquare · 02/02/2026 10:13

I got a £1.50 voucher. Hurrah.

Not necessarily. I once spend a day comparing prices with Sainsbury’s and found them both similar if you exclude the Nectar prices which aren’t always available for what I need.

For us Waitrose is the nearest shop bug enough to shop for the week and compared to others the quality fruit, veg and meat is better I find.

I'd check your card is linked to your app properly - and that you're scanning the card/fob every time - is it definitely the same account on the app as your card/fob?

LamentableShoes · 02/02/2026 10:52

BTW the first 'little treat' in Feb is a packet of Waitrose flower/heart crumpets (4! a poxy 4 in a pack!). I like crumpets but I'm fairly sure last time I got Waitrose own-brand ones they weren't that nice compared to the branded ones.

Come on WR, you can do better than this.

YourWinter · 02/02/2026 11:11

I use the Trolley app and write my shopping list by store according to the best prices. Waitrose is usually only the best price when something is on offer.

4 pints organic semi skimmed milk, £2.25 Morrisons, £2.40 Tesco and Sainsbury’s, £2.45 Waitrose. HP sauce, £3.30 Morrisons, £3.49 Tesco, £3.50 Waitrose. Seafood sauce own brand, 285g jar, M&S £1.30, Waitrose £1.50. Own brand paracetamol tablets, 35p or thereabouts nearly everywhere, Waitrose 75p. It all adds up. On the Waitrose app I look through the current offers of half price and 1/3 off, but they’re rarely things I buy.

Location is relevant though, I have Tesco, Aldi and M&S very close together 8 miles south, Morrison’s and Home Bargains close together but 12 miles north, Lidl and Asda 13 miles west, the big Sainsbury’s even further. Waitrose is my only reason to drive 7 miles east! Im retired and have the luxury of time to plan which stores to visit on my twice-weekly grocery shops (I hate buying groceries online).

Freshness of produce is rather store-specific, I think, and stock rotation can be sketchy in any of them.

TheWayOfTheWorld · 03/02/2026 11:32

I’ve also noticed that certain of the little treats are on a promotion/money off already - eg the innocent juice and the Dorset cereals

Its like they want to take the shine off it for you.
