Has anyone had any Little Treats from Waitrose yet?

Am wondering what the Little Treats actually involve?

OP posts:

Yes, feeling a bit miffed at the options available because I have dietary restrictions (bloody obvious from my loyalty card data/ diabetic & coeliac) - so of this month’s treats I’ve missed out on the Belvoir as the no added sugar ones are not on the list, the crumpets because GF ones are not on the list. Hoping the mini eggs are GF - or at least they can be regifted! And don’t get me started on the general multi-buy offers, eg M&S allow you to mix and match GF and normal hot cross buns in their offers but Waitrose don’t. 😖

I got love heart crumpets today

Me too

LilyFeather · 21/02/2026 18:38

@Sunshineandrainbow yes it was the £250 treat. They were nice, perfectly decent. I’d probably spend a fiver on them if I was so inclined in the future. Not setting the world on fire but ok for a freebie

Nifty50something · 01/03/2026 13:45

I made it to the chocolate eggs final treat in February and really enjoyed all the treats. I'd buy the eggs, the crumpets and the drink again so a very good month for me.
I'm now wondering what March will bring. We're on holiday for half the month so I doubt I'll get the full house again.

reluctantbrit · 01/03/2026 14:48

First free of March is a pack of four scones.

The second one is a box of 40 Twinings teabags or tea.

Thanks, I like to know is it’s worth buying top up food at Waitrose to get the treats. I’ll never make it to £250 though.

The Tony's 150g box of 12 chocolate eggs little treat was substituted for us last month. Instead we received the Tony's 230g bag of eggs, which seemed to be a little win for us.

LilyFeather · 13/03/2026 12:14

The treats for this month ….

free pack of 4 scones

free box of 40 Twinings tea bags

free bouquet of bright or pastel tulips

LilyFeather · 13/03/2026 12:14

I got all of them at once as I was away on holiday for a fortnight so needed to do a big shop!

EnchantingDecoration · 13/03/2026 12:30

I was ill the second half of last month and didn't get to Waitrose, I'd have liked the chocolate eggs. Had the plain scones and teabags this week, went for decaff.

I'll probably give the tulips a swerve. They had buckets of them at the checkouts in Markses at the weekend and I struggled to pack my shopping for coughing.

They were all out of the free teabags (English Breakfast) today.

What happens when they're out please - do they offer an alternative or just tell you tough luck try again later?

It's not just English breakfast, there are several teabag varieties you can take. The vouchers normally usable for around two weeks.

You can't choose something else. But I think if Waitrose chooses a substitution when you shop online with them then they apply the voucher.

There's no flexibility any more in store... at Christmas I was able to get different (lesser value)mince pies from the specific ones but I couldn't do the same with the crumpets last month - it was either flowery or heart ones, no other shape allowed!

The teabags there are several varieties of Twinings you can choose from, to be fair, but I only wanted English Breakfast. Wouldn't be able to get 40 of Waitrose own brand, for example.

That's my main gripe with this... it doesn't give you a very long window in which to get them and obviously they're popular and often sold out in the shops.

EnchantingDecoration · 13/03/2026 18:37

The fresh things particularly sell out, I had both the last pack of crumpets and the last pack of scones, but there were loads of teabags and Dorset cereals.

LilyFeather · 14/03/2026 16:49

Yeah I had to go for earl grey as all the others were sold out.

I detest earl grey

I ordered the ginger beer, last month and that went out of stock in the meantime so they sent me a sub. If it's already OOS you can't order, though. Probably the same for shopping in person.

dizzydizzydizzy · 14/03/2026 17:28

I got a box of Tony’s chocolate eggs a
couple of weeks ago. I was delighted.

IAmUsingTheApplauseReactionSarcastically · 15/03/2026 11:10

My branch had a dedicated cardboard shelf of the Twinings teabags in another part of the shop.

Yes so did mine

pinkperm · 25/03/2026 12:24

My Waitrose has had very low stock of the 40 tea bags for weeks. Only Earl Grey is available, which isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.

LamentableShoes · 25/03/2026 13:04

Same here. I went in three times, checked the special display and the main shelf, and no English Breakfast available at any time. Only decaff, earl grey etc. Went with Assam but don't think I've ever actually tried it!

They really need to increase stock for these and increase the amount of time you can use them. What's wrong with giving you a full month? Surely that'd level out the demand a bit?

Same experience here but my offer has now disappeared! (The teabag one). Anyone else?
