Has anyone had any Little Treats from Waitrose yet?

Am wondering what the Little Treats actually involve?

What's January's £250 treat? I wish they would just you know! Thanks

hottentot · 09/01/2026 20:01

Dorset cereal 😊

Rhaidimiddim · 09/01/2026 20:13

A 370g jar of Bonne Mamon jam

Has anyone noticed the weekly money off vouchers have reduced? There are usually 4 or 5 money off vouchers which are related to your previous buys, I’ve only got 2 and those are leftovers from the previous week.
I wondered if they were doing away with them.

I only get them every 2 weeks now, it used to be every week.

A Bonne Maman jam or marmalade when I spent £50 (ok) and £3 off my next shop when I spent over £100 (not ok). Let's just say it didn't exactly entice me to spend more money. I just miss the days when the personalised vouchers were decent and you didn't have to apply them to specific products.

I also never take advantage of the free tea and coffee; partly because I'm a tea drinker and vending machine tea is horrible, and partly because I go to Waitrose on foot and can't fiddle around with hot drinks when I am laden with shopping. I wish they would provide an alternative.

Still better than Sparks, though.

EsmaCannonball · 15/01/2026 11:53

Well, I spent £75 in Waitrose yesterday and my Little Treat was ........... £1.50 off my next shop. 🙁On top of that my Personalised Vouchers have gone from four every week to just four every fortnight, and the new ones I got this fortnight were exactly the same as the ones from last fortnight (which I hadn't even used because they were all for summer salad vegetables and fruits).

Little Treats feel like they are giving you something you probably won't want as replacement for the weekly Personalised Vouchers which you are more likely to use. Do the Germans have one of their special words for something which is sold as an improvement but actually turns out to be a downgrade?

reluctantbrit · 15/01/2026 12:35

@EsmaCannonball - Verschlimmbessern - the attempt to improve something but make it actually worse.

I now have 3 vouchers instead of 4 per week. We often get the same vouchers each week as it's what we buy regularly, milk, eggs, carrots, salmon, beef mince for example.

DH and I both have the card and so far we managed to get all of his treats (helps to shop for a party) and 2 of mine.
The £1.50 is a bit of a joke though.

EsmaCannonball · 15/01/2026 13:12

Thanks. The Germans really do have a word for every situation.

Waitrose Verschlimmbessern Vouchers.

JacknDiane · 15/01/2026 22:19

I've got £1.50 off and a 900ml bottle of innocent orange juice

Agree the vouchers are shite now

Kitterkitkat · 15/01/2026 22:23

My last little treat was £1.50 off. I accidentally shoplifted in there last time I was in (card was on freeze, forgot to unfreeze it) so I'm trying to get over the embarrassment and go back in to pay

SauvignonBlanche · 15/01/2026 22:29

I’ve had no personalised vouchers for 3 weeks in a row. 😥

They can stick their Little Treats - I want my vouchers back!

Jugendstiel · 15/01/2026 22:32

I haven't had any. DH gets them all the time. Free Cinnamon cookies, free litre bottles of Innocent juice, free chocolate. He keeps coming home with slightly odd things and says 'Oh this was my free treat this week.' He also gets sent so many pairs of free socks from Bamboo every year that he never needs to buy socks.

NecklessMumster · 15/01/2026 22:53

I just checked... £1.50 off next shop ...big wow 🙄

SQUIGGOO · 16/01/2026 11:24

Yes, my £1.50 off had to be spent by 19th. Disappointing. Wonder what the level 2 and 3 treats are this month?

Both are appreciated in our house.

Are the socks from waitrose?

LamentableShoes · 18/01/2026 09:37

Personalised vouchers are crap now. The free juice and £1.50 off is actually a worse deal for me than the 50p off milk and £1 off loo roll that I used to get quite often. Dorset cereal would be good although I think they stopped stocking my favourite kind.

Agreed. Who wants a sweet juice - they probably have too much stock ? And £1.50 off is not exactly much of a reward

We like the Innocent juices. They are not something we drink everyday but on a weekend with breakfast, they are well liked.

As the name says, it's a little treat, not a free essential.

SauvignonBlanche · 18/01/2026 17:39

For me, the previous vouchers were money off essentials like milk, loo roll and yogurts, much more useful than stuff I don’t really need.

I think a lot of people, me included, appreciated the value of getting useful/necessary free items more than sweets/treats.
