Can you share your favourite Christmas recipe with us @Rexinasaurus

I am curious about something. Do you think calling a woman a "wicked witch" is misogynistic?

Yes it is within certain contexts. Obviously not within others. I’ve never said the right aren’t misogynistic - let’s face it most men are to some degree (GG was correct in the 70s and not much has changed. Worse actually). The fact remains the Labour Party are the worst culprits within our political system. It’s been that way for ever it seems.

placemats · 04/11/2025 20:26

It's all so very reminiscent of the wasted time on the FWR threads. Sad and miserable.

Would that I could. But I can’t. Don’t cook sorry.

Totally agree. Nothing has been learnt here. It seems.

placemats · 04/11/2025 20:28

Obviously you have learnt nothing @Rexinasaurus

Others have moved on.

In what context would it not be misogynistic?

In the wizard of oz. Well I’ve never considered it so. Just a story. Perhaps there have been university studies on how misogynistic that is too. But frankly there’s more to worry about.

BIWI · 04/11/2025 20:37

The issue of women's and trans rights concerns me greatly. And I’m even more concerned that I’ve found myself agreeing with the Conservative party and their views and eschewing those of Labour. Very disconcerting for a left-leaning poster!

Notonthestairs · 04/11/2025 20:39

I didn’t particularly warm to Tom D on Traitors.

Saucery · 04/11/2025 20:42

I can’t stand Tom Daley, for a couple of reasons I won’t spark debate about on here. Oops, did I not check my brief properly there? Wouldn’t want to contradict my Comrades, what a Wicked Witch that would make me Grin Grin

Rexinasaurus · 04/11/2025 20:44

Tom Daley is a misogynistic twat. Like Stephen Fry.

Well there you go, we agree on something!

PickAChew · 04/11/2025 20:55

I haven't dived in, yet. I may watch one out of sheer curiosity. I won't stick with it if it's all daft super chunky knitting.

No straight answer 🤔

🙄 On the contrary, I gave a very straight and honest answer. I think @PandoraSocks got that. Though I could be wrong. I also think you judge by your own standards (we all do).

The first one is. But it's fun. None of the knitter's were a fan of chunky knitting either. It's a bit weird because obviously they have hours to knit, like 12 hours.

I'm not a fan of him either but he doesn't overtake the show.

DuncinToffee · 04/11/2025 21:24

He clearly didn't get the message that London is falling and the wealth exodus

I do feel you fudged your reply a little! But I can't be arsed arguing the toss.

Supplysupport · 04/11/2025 21:25

First time in my life I've been called a commie! I don't automatically defend my dh when he fucks up, let alone random comrades. That s such a shit insult. It would be a shit insult even if it was true, but so blatant a lie makes it even more shit.

There is a whole raft of space between far right reform bull shit and communism, and if you think we are communists you must be incredibly right leaning.

We have the football on.

🙈 Fair enough. I was answering directly and honestly (that had been my thinking when I said not in all contexts). Ah well!!

placemats · 04/11/2025 21:30

It's the insults dished out - wouldn't want to be at their table to eat, but heaven help you if you dish it back. Snowflakes on the grass in mid April springs to mind.

Perhaps others just love the years long misery.

I’ll go after this. FYI I’ve only ever voted Labour or independent. When I’ve voted. But I haven’t voted Labour since the Ed Milliband debacle (another lefty fcking over his own). I’ve never voted Tory. I will next time. Wasted vote or not. Who knows what’ll happen in the next few years.
