So answer please…
A — yes always
B — sometimes, if the cooking is particularly messy
C — never

(I'm 67)

B. 71

A - also while eating if I am at home alone - I am a mucky pup and hate stained clothes. 50s.

warmapplepies · 01/10/2025 19:02

C - 36. My mum did (and still does) but I never have apart from when I was in school.

Tidypidy · 01/10/2025 19:02

A always and when eating too quite often! I’m 49. I have a pinny for savoury cooking and another for baking. I like the Japanese style ones best.

longtompot · 01/10/2025 19:03

B - sometimes but should be A as I get annoyed when I get grease splashed on my tops. It's usually when I wear a nice one too. Old ones, used for diy and gardening are usually left splatter free!

A - 42. Have worn an apron since I was 30.

ButSheSaid · 01/10/2025 19:03

C- in my forties

Never owned one and has never occurred to me to need or want one.

I couldn't care less about clothes. (I don't iron, either 😊)

Sourisblanche · 01/10/2025 19:04

A. Love pulling on my pinny and tying it at the waist.

mindutopia · 01/10/2025 19:04

I love cooking and have always cooked every day. I’ve never worn an apron in my life. I’m 44.

SunnySideDeepDown · 01/10/2025 19:08

C - 37.

Forkmaiden · 01/10/2025 19:10

B - 37

BoarBrush · 01/10/2025 19:12

C - 39 and I really should as I am terrible for making myself absolutely manky. Dd made a cracking one in her textiles class too so I should really use that.

@longtompot Yes, grease spots drive me mad, so difficult to get out of clothes.

DirtyBird · 01/10/2025 19:28

I don't know if I'm B or C as I rarely use one. Actually I got a free one from work the other day and used it once. I'm 55. But I usually cook in my beat up clothes anyway so an apron is rarely needed.

cinnamonbunlover · 01/10/2025 19:29

B 45

CarpetKnees · 01/10/2025 19:40

C 59. I think the only woman in my family that ever wore an apron was my Nana.

Fispi · 01/10/2025 19:43

A - 38. Have always used an apron from being in my 20's. My lovely late FIL bought me one like his when I kept pinching his to cook when we lived with the in laws many years ago. It still makes me smile thinking of him when I wear it.

Particpatory · 01/10/2025 19:43
