More receipts

An extraordinary Telegraph article from 2014 that reminds us where Nigel Farage stood on Russia's invasion of Ukraine and Mr Putin 16 years ago.

I am just glad to see that Starmer finally got out of the traps and called Farage’s ILR policy racist. Because it is.

Also super pleased to see maintenance grants making a comeback, that’s really good news.

Worthy of an AIBU post - "AIBU to think Nigel Farage is a Russian spy ?"

with pointed reference to the view we are already at war with Russia (not that we ever weren't).

DuncinToffee · 30/09/2025 10:52

The 'Jeffrey Nathan who?' line is not going to keep for long

Follow the money

Here’s something that should never disappear….

Nigel Farage (in the company of Nathan Gill), being quizzed by Channel 4’s Matt Frei.

I have posted a few links on the Farage thread in the Brexit section.

Farage could throw a parade for Putin but if he cancelled VAT on p/s it would be overlooked.

Yes, I was pleased to see maintenance grants getting a mention - bit short on details at the moment but something I can broadly get behind.

Notonthestairs · 30/09/2025 11:14

Excellent. Ridiculous that the care sector hasn’t had this in the past. We’ve had shortages for a very long time.

I stopped posting there. Mainly because you really want to piss off a Brexiteer (that's if you can find one 🤔) then they only thing that upsets them more than not losing the referendum, is the fact that Brexit is done and dusted and no one is remotely interested any more. Although I can't help but remember the phrase "studied indifference" from my creative writing classes 😂

Ah but what is revoking IDL for EU citizens but a chance to reopen negotiations with the EU and come off worse than before 😂

It addresses the "if it really mattered ..." optics that can be applied to anything any government does ever.

Although we've (I've) often been told how unfair it is to hold governments to what they have actually done. That was almost the 2024 Tory strapline "Don't judge us on what we've done. But more importantly don't judge us on what we haven't done."

I can see that being reused again ...

Never going to happen. It suits a lot of people to pretend Brexit never happened. And if it did it wasn't anybodies fault. And if it was someones fault, we don't know whose. And even if we did (which we don't) then there's nothing to be done.

All of which will hopefully be upset when Boris and Nigel strip down to their mankinis and take each other on is a ring made of lard and roped off with copies of the Telegraph and Express rolled into ropes.

Nigels get out of jail free over Brexit is that Boris borked it. However Boris road to rehabilitation hinges on his masterful handling of Brexit and don't you dare say otherwise.

None of which should really affect the reform-averse demographic.

Notonthestairs · 30/09/2025 11:36

Yes, you are right. Farage wont touch the W/A for fear of contamination. He’ll just stick to what he knows and whine about the EU endlessly.

To which the mic-drop answer is "we should leave the EU then".

YouTubers are earning up to £20,000 a month by making provocative videos that have targeted a Norfolk hotel used to house asylum seekers.

One of the most prominent YouTubers, Anthony Styles, 59, has since deleted his AJ Audits channel after it was revealed he is a convicted paedophile. He was known to frequent protests held in Norwich and Bowthorpe, where demonstrators claimed to stand for the “protection of women and children”.

These sorts of accounts are where certain posters direct you to find out “the truth”.

Putting lives at risk to make criminals money (so they can move to Tenerife).

Only if they can't find anyone who made a £1 mistake on their returns.

The thing is that money is coming from advertisers.

This isn't just hate. It's M&S hate.
