🔴 NEW - Nigel Farage and the Brexit cabal are frothing with rage because their immigration promises came true.

The receipts show they all advocated for this exact immigration system 👇🏻👇🏻

Has Farage forgotten his own immigration promises?

We have the receipts, Nigel...

I hope he feels the dragon pulling the reins away.

Servers them fucking right.

Hows that "Brexit" thing you thought you could control now, eh ? Headbanger tories.

It's a tale as old as time, the killing of the golden egg laying goose. They had a nice little political party - the oldest in modern history (quite happy to debate the classicists on the Roman classes). It had survived the fracture in the monarchy, the succession crises of the 17th and 18th century, seen off changes that ended in revolution all over Europe, infiltrated every corner of the globe by the British Empire. And yet it folded quicker than a cheap tent the second the avarice and greed of the monied classes got their sticky fingers on the levers of power.

No one forced them to pick up the poisoned chalice - many warned against (and Google remembers the MNetters who did, most under other names 😀). But no, they thought that rather than slay the dragon, they could use it's supernatural power to destroy their perceived enemies.

The metaphor of sawing a branch while sitting on the wrong side is so apt it hurts.

Even an army of Clav clones is never going to revive this ex-party.

Well that’s a new one. What I did know is that Vote Leave spent their time encouraging voters who had settled in the UK from Commonwealth countries that it would be easier for their families to come and work and settle in the UK.

Now the same people are in Reform trying to scrap ILR and make a guest worker system. Wonder why that is?

It was reported that a lot of Anglo Asian support was stolen from people who thought their relatives from India or Pakistan would get an easier entry out of the EU. Not the majority, but maybe enough to make up 1% of the vote ....

I think being asked who your favourite author is is a bit like the biscuit question.

You'd have to have a preprepped answer that was suitably acceptable and not pick apartable. It's a bit of a Catch 22. Pun intended.

bombastix · 09/10/2025 12:37

I think it is the most cynical policy. It’s intended to have a guest worker or “servant class” via a visa system. I doubt the figures would very much change; it’s all about saying if you come from x country, you’ll never be British. It’s just they don’t say it openly. Wonder why that is?

I have several friends from India who voted Leave for exactly that reason. Nice people, but I told them they were being naive and I am not particularly pleased to be proved right.

In other news, DS had his job interview yesterday and got the call offering him the job just now. I am beyond delighted.

Ah yes, but they didn't mean what they said.
Why are you so literal?!

It seems the Tories have realised they need to appeal more to Gen Z, they have a cunning plan to unleash these young activists 😂

That must be AI generated. These people cannot exist in this continuum.
