I see some gory glory hunters have swooped in to blame Starmer. Obviously not worth dignifying with engagement, but telling.

PandoraSocks · 02/10/2025 14:10

Today is a day to stay off social media I think.

We should all be standing together against this terrorism. Not blaming each other. That is exactly what the terrorists want.

I feel sick reading some of what has been posted, from right wingers and left wingers. I am staying well away from it all.

Well I've enough practice from my youth, sad to say.

DuncinToffee · 02/10/2025 14:29

Sadlly nothing is new or even unexpected about it.

Meanwhile, Badenoch's announcement to repeal the Climate Change Act has not gone down well

St. Kemi did not get the memo about how many Tory snouts are in the net zero trough. Or (much more likely) she did, but failed to understand it.

She really needs to take a leaf out of Farrights book, and be opposed to something without actually saying how exactly.

placemats · 02/10/2025 15:31

And as for having an speech on leaving the ECHR this Sunday in Manchester - unbelievable. Give it up Kemi.

Someone, somewhere is measuring out the rope ....

placemats · 02/10/2025 16:00

A play: Tory Story.

"Miss, miss, MISS!!!"

Eye roll and sigh - from Miss: What is it now Kemi?

JENRICK - points with pointy finger - stole my homework! He did - MISS.

Miss - wasn't it Jenrick who gave a firm commitment to leaving the ECHR last year whilst you said it was not a 'silver bullet"?

The end (is nigh). Sigh.

Every time I click on watching and see this thread title it makes me smile. It’s certainly one of the best we’ve had in ages!

Also agree time could be Farages downfall. Especially if he gets desperate enough.

Well said.

Terrorism of any sort is abhorrent.

Thank you

We needed the boring titles but I think things have settled down a bit regarding this thread.

Me too sorely needed bit of lighthearted humour.
utterly horrific news from Manchester today so awful.
yy another one hoping time will be the downfall of Farage & his fellow fuckwits
sainted Kemi has the brains of a rocking horse often ponder as to why doesn’t she try & pull the conservatives back more slightly right of centre one nation Tories rather than trying out reforming reform its a fruitless exercise.

cardibach · 02/10/2025 18:35

@dontcallmelen I'm assuming it’s because she’s not a One Nation Tory herself.
Everyone seems to be chasing Reform. It’s depressing.

DuncinToffee · 02/10/2025 18:47

Labour and Tories are agreeing on something, to strip Mone of her peerage.

Tories need to look into how she got one first…

About bloody time, she should be in prison along with all the other fraudsters.
Cardi I think someone posted ages ago that any proper one nation conservatives probably haven’t even been elected yet.

Cameron. So much of the shit of the last 15 years comes back to him.

dontcallmelen · 02/10/2025 19:20

Doesn’t it just, he has an awful lot to answer for just even thinking about him makes me so cross he is up there with Thatcher imho.

BIossomtoes · 02/10/2025 19:41

I don’t disagree, the damage the pair of them did between them is immeasurable.

Taking this with a pinch of salt regarding the Tory response. The money is probably unlikely to be recovered. A Tory government gave her and her husband the money.

It seems that some of the money will come back. £75 million has been frozen in their accounts.
