A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

My DD was obviously meant for better things than DH and I. From being able to speak she said "plaaaster" and "caaastle" 🤣 Her accent and diction has hardly changed by going to an independent school. We think we brought the wrong baby home!

One of my dc is quite posh aswell now you mention it. I blame CBeebies 😂.

Feeling envious tbh. We’ve been almost camping out in a temporary kitchen area since we bought Christmas 2019. I can hardly see the floor of our actual kitchen ( space). We ‘re starting the kitchen and hall, bedrooms, bathrooms ( they’re grim) on Monday.

If I’m on here you’ll know my heart still isn’t in it.

can you just see the sink at the rear 🤣

Bless you.
Been there, got the T shirt. ❤️

Over 1000 people crossed the channel in small boats yesterday. The France deal is not working as a deterrent it seems.

1 out, 1000 in.
Sorted

JustStopItNorasaurus · 20/09/2025 13:43

well...... 1000 is a multiple of 1. So nothing to see here really. I'm sure they will spin it to say their policies are working somehow.

Pearlyjam · 20/09/2025 13:44

Hello, I'm new to this thread. I am so fed up with this labour government. Starmer must think British people are mugs if he expects us to believe his pathetic 1 in 1 out scheme will make the slightest difference on numbers of illegal immigrants. Apparently no less than 1,072 illegal immigrants arrived in boats the last few days. What a great deterrant eh? 🙄The UK is an international laughing stock. Starmer and his close friend Khan are actively destroying this country.

JustStopItNorasaurus · 20/09/2025 13:46

Agree.

Well done @twistyizzy

I've cleaned two bathrooms, and downstairs loo.😇 🏅. Keir has hoovered everywhere.
Now got to walk the dogs in torrential rain.

Bathrooms and downstairs loo is my Sunday job.

I've cleaned the kitchen / hallway woodwork and doors, plus I even cleaned the outside of the front door, our house number plaque and the outside light. Go me!

I need to make a casserole after a late lunch, then I'll hoover downstairs and mop the floors.

upseedaisee · 20/09/2025 14:37

If this country were to simply apply the same standards to these illegal migrants as the rest of europe, there would be little pull for them to make the trip. They would be no better off than anywhere else.
It get sick to death of the simpering dogooders saying'but they're asylum seekers, they need our help' Oh really?!? that's why they move through several safe countries to get here then is it?

Idk when it’s supposed to have any effect but 1 out 1000 in is going to hit Labour again. Both Starmer and Mahmood who came in ‘talking tough’.

Welcome btw

Well, well well. Looks like the shine has well and truly worn off Your Party.

Former Labour MP Zarah Sultana has accused Jeremy Corbyn and other members of a new left-wing party of "baseless attacks" on her character and said she is consulting lawyers.
It follows an email sent to supporters inviting them to sign up for membership of the new party at the cost of £5 a month or £55 a year.
Sultana had posted on social media encouraging people to join and claiming more than 20,000 people had done so.
But Corbyn posted a statement signed by four other independent MPs involved in the party in which he claimed the emails were "unauthorised" and said any direct debits set up should be "immediately cancelled".
Allies of Corbyn have told the BBC they do not believe that anyone should be sued.
The former Labour leader declined to comment on Sultana's latest intervention.
But speaking a the annual conference of the Peace and Justice Project, an organisation founded by Corbyn, he said he was "absolutely determined" the new party will be officially launched later this year.

I totally agree. They also know that once they set foot on our shores, they can be pretty confident they will be here for life - taken great care of thanks the British tax payer. Kier Starmer has no intention of reducing illegal immigration. He cares far more about their rights than he does of the British public he is meant to serve, calling immigration laws racist and protesting against the deportation of foreign criminals. The smirk on his face at the press conference during Trump's visit when Trump was asked what he could teach the UK about reducing illegal immigration said it all.

More evidence of shitty Labour policies:
"According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), 6,365 agriculture, forestry, and fishing businesses closed in the UK during the 12 months to June 2025, which is the highest figure recorded since quarterly data began in 2017"

They would rather see land concreted over or covered in solar panels. It is state influenced decline of a sector. Once farmland has gone, it's gone forever.

I think the UK is expecting to receive thr first batch of migrants from France this weekend aren't we? The UK have now flown 3 back to France, I wonder how many we'll receive?

It seems a bit pointless putting 3 on a plane in France, when 1072 arrive in one day on dinghies.
