Got mine this time ☺️ felt a bit left out last time, it’s very loud all three here went off

Efacsen · 07/09/2025 15:06

Not worth saving it seems

Hey ho

placemats · 07/09/2025 15:08

"Men can equally be a single parent and putting a father in prison can equally affect a family with children"

That's a problem for the male prison estate and with due respect no male bodied person is going to be pregnant and imprisoned in the female estate.

The discussion is about the female prison estate.

Appreciate that.

I just don’t see this discussion happening for men
My post reflected that it should

itsgettingweird · 07/09/2025 15:14

I got the alert too. Mine worked last time as well.

DS turned his off this morning when I reminded him.

placemats · 07/09/2025 15:15

I enjoyed listening to the Welsh bit of the alert.

Female prisoners are usually more harshly treated under the law when it comes to non violent offences. They are more likely to be single parents with a precarious background in the care system, with less support when leaving the system.

Well the discussion is focussed on the female estate.

Eta Perhaps take the discussion up with Reform and LC. Or better still contact a local Reform councillor if you have one, or your local MP.

Piggywaspushed · 07/09/2025 15:27

Time was a brilliant Jimmy McGovern series. The most recent one was about women. So good.

And I could also post on here as a matter of discussion and an equality issue.
Since that’s a key interest to women it makes perfect sense to me to have that voice

of note I find it a real concern if we are left to trust Reform to deal with issues of equality

No conversation at all, you say?
More offenders could be tagged, as James Timpson insists he’s ‘not soft on crime’ - BBC News https://share.google/viOJiY4ek7dPIGGw1

Not every conversation has to centre men. Women are allowed to have their own conversation about how issues specifically relate to them.

I found the Women's series far more harrowing

I am also saved from the apocalypse, alien invasion or zombie attack, albeit a minute late.

And the diverse Toffee ladies won at Anfield, happy days

I hope we get the alert system if Reform are likely to win come the next election night 😀

I agree
The conversation for both should be happening and as a women interested in equality it should be

Of note the offenders could be tagged is about all offenders.
So all equal

Got the alarm call here in Hampshire. I knew it was coming but still nearly jumped out of my skin.

Mine was a minute late too. My Welsh FIL was a devoted Toffee supporter and also remembered his father raving about women's football and so sad it was banned. He would have enjoyed that win.

Karistyleaftea · 07/09/2025 15:52

It would be great to see the information in the Led by Donkeys piece put to Farage by an ethical journalist.
I hope we still have some left.

Ooh, we are a few minutes away from the emergency alert test.

The bloody thing went off when I was driving. It terrified me for a second until I realised what it was.

Piggywaspushed · 07/09/2025 16:25

They're lining up their accusations about Lammy:

  • not GC and said something a bit (OK , very) daft
  • Is 'thick'
  • Came second in Mastermind which is the very worst anyone famous has ever ever done
  • Fishing licence fiddle
  • Is Black - oh no, wait, they haven't said that bit Out Loud but see bullet points 2 and 3.
DuncinToffee · 07/09/2025 16:30

Well, I hold it against Lammy that he didn't give Vance a little nudge during that fishing session

Is it a swarm of locusts - hybrid warfare and all that

Piggywaspushed · 07/09/2025 16:34

Labour are consistently called out for their own treatment of and representations of women and POC. Look what happens when we have female DPMs, female chancellors, a female Muslim in a very senior position and a male, black DPM.

BIossomtoes · 07/09/2025 16:34

The hatred of every single government minister blows my mind. I wouldn’t mind if there was justification but writing them all of as “thick” is - well, just a bit thick.
