Phillipson has announced she is running.

Mandelson wrote in Epstein's birthday book.

Just get him back on the bench in HoL and appoint someone else as ambassador.

Horrible

Agree re Mandelson. Ugh.

Can you imagine the furore if female politicians behaved like some of their male counterparts.

Emily Thornberry is throwing her hat in for DL.

SerendipityJane · 09/09/2025 10:04

Meanwhile, the Reform party song appears to be ...

"Back On The Chain Gang"

Will a tranwoman put themselves forward ? Because there has to be a way to drag this situation even further for destabilising effect.

Hang on ... a minority transwoman - even better. There must be one somewhere. Maybe Corbyn you quickly rejoin, self ID and finish his 35 year mission to destroy the Labour party ?

SerendipityJane · 09/09/2025 10:58

Saw this just now, and I thought it would be appreciated best ... here.

Mandelson's message wasn't even a neutral one. It was utterly sycophantic 🤮

cardibach · 09/09/2025 12:21

Well this is horrifying…
Just concerned patents, though, right?

Lucy Powell is also standing. If she gets onto the ballot, and I hope she does, she gets my vote.

Agree that’s horrifying. Also very telling that protesters were arriving throughout the day by train.

More proof these aren’t concerned local residents but rather groups who are gathering to protest.

DuncinToffee · 09/09/2025 13:06

The BBC is running a your voice article about concerned residents. And there is Chris Mason's fawning article about Reform

The fearmongering about asylum seekers is getting pushed more and more

That is just awful.

placemats · 09/09/2025 14:07

It is disgusting. Was looking at the moon Sunday and last night plus the pictures regarding the eclipse. The moon shone brilliantly on all of us, regardless of race, colour or status.

If I see any racist behaviour, I will call it out. It can't continue.

MsJinks · 09/09/2025 14:20

Oh so awful, the Faversham protest.
I have to ask though how they marry up - my grandad fought for a ‘white’ country (or whatever term they try to gloss it with) and Seig Heils, which they must know is the thing their grandad fought against.
Sickening whatever 😞

They waited for all the veterans to die.

No words. I fear for what we’re becoming.

I think it was always there, i remember living in Reading in the 80s, decent area but some of the casual racism was off the scale.

I worked in S.Africa and Nambia later on, it was easier to deal with because it was in the open, in the UK it was bubbling away under the surface.
