It's completely ridiculous, joking aside, we have had some brilliant working class Northern Labour mps - we don't need tokens. Mo Mowlam may have been one of the most brilliant of MPs we've ever had and I don't remember her wandering around playing working class and northern, she was too busy getting important stuff done, even if that dick Mandelson took all the credit.

Just reading that telegraph article posted by @IDareSay , it is totally ridiculous. Labour have completely lost touch with their traditional base. Shoving a token northern woman in will do them no favours. They haven't learned a thing.
