I was listening to Times radio with Andrew Neil today at lunchtime and Maurice Glassman of Blue Labour was advocating putting the Royal Navy off-shore from the French coast( presumably in international waters ) in order to turn the small boats around. This is a Labour supporter ( albeit on the right wing of the party ) calling for something I’ve only ever heard before from Reform. I’m not sure how much heft Blue Labour hold within the LP but can you imagine if this had been suggested 6 months ago by any card-carrying Labour member. The Overton Window is opening before our eyes !

I do have WC roots that I could play on ie up cobbled streets of W Yorks to the Rowntree factory in my flat cap

But then I let them down ie live rurally, go shooting, have a horse + spaniels and send my child to independent school......
