A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Ghastly person.

Good riddance.

EasternStandard · 05/09/2025 12:09

All the times she had a go at others. No one can be that hypocritical and survive tg

I'm a northerner and she has never represented me. I actually resent how she is a self declared role model for Northern women. We have never ever been in short supply of role models!! There is a long tradition of strong northern women and I don't need Rayner to represent me or speak for me.

Of course. I never said she represented me, far from it! 🤢 She’s not a role model for many really. I’m just reflecting on the journey she’s had, the difficulties, the crap start. For it to end like this. But still, such is life..

It’s like a game or a match. Obviously winning is the most important thing, but you want the opposite team to play well enough. Labour are scoring so many own goals it’s a white wash. No one really wins at the moment. (Except train drivers).

Reform win ... which makes all of this a slightly pyrrhic victory.

Agreed. She’s the most unlikable and most incompetent in her role.

‘our children’ fck off Bridget

Yes I agree but then she shouldn't have put herself on such a high pedestal.

EmpressoftheMundane · 05/09/2025 12:12

They will just replace her with someone we won’t like! I’d hope for a “New Labour” centrist, but I don’t think KS is strong enough for that!

Poor RR, the attention will be back on her and the economy.

Absentmindedsmile · 05/09/2025 12:12

Was just reading an article about the implications of the vat on education. How they might now put vat on other things, like health care. Which we knew.. and predicted to the gloaters.

Searching4Alpha · 05/09/2025 12:13

And still the usual suspects on another thread are gaslighting everyone else.

Never their fault.

Must be a jagged little pill for them to swallow.

Losers.

Upstartled · 05/09/2025 12:14

The report must have been damning and beyond the credibility of, 'it's all terribly complicated and look how sad I am'.

The persecution complex is off the charts.

Yes, said that all along. Once you go down the principle of it being acceptable to tax the education of children, nothing is safe.
Every impact was predicted and is happening. Labour denied and gaslight us and lied to the public.
That's when my real hatred of them started.
They could have exempted SEND children but they actively chose not to. Then Rayner cries on TV about her dodgy tax dealings with her disabled child.
She laughed when SEND kids from other people were being impacted.

It's the fault of the right wing press or Reform. Every time, never Labour's fault and they never take responsibility
🤮

Arrearing50 · 05/09/2025 12:18

Exactly the same @twistyizzy

Arrearing50 · 05/09/2025 12:18

So she didn’t take proper tax advice despite it being recommended.

Yes, I am thinking she might be on the hook for impoverishing her son’s trust.

Yes, that's what the report said. So she was lying in that interview?

I bet.

Is it the BBC's fault yet?

Arrearing50 · 05/09/2025 12:22

I guess the kind view is that she thought the solicitors she was dealing with were giving her tax advice…despite them saying this was not tax advice.

Arrearing50 · 05/09/2025 12:23

fair play to the telegraph journalists eh - they broke this and were proven right

twistyizzy · 05/09/2025 12:25

But true to form Labour supporters are blaming the media of harassment. Completely ignoring her behaviour.
It's also the fault of Reform for some bizarre reason, but then isn't everything?

Upstartled · 05/09/2025 12:26

So, musical chairs on Monday then?

And were roundly dismissed as Torygraph propoganda
