Is it an elongated cushion cut?
Do I see a very delicate halo?
Thoughts on the chunky gold band?
Gold prongs holding the diamond in place? I would have expected platinum for a white diamond. Can still have yellow gold band. (Advice from Flik, royal jeweller on Tiktok)
And the size of the stone!
What sort of wedding band would go? Fitted? Or will a straight band sit flush?

Congratulations to them both. I’m happy for them and I assume she loves the ring and that’s all that matters. As it goes I also like it and am glad she’s gone for something that suits her style rather than the usual celeb style.

I really dislike massive diamonds. They’re gaudy and vulgar. It’s clunky.

I love it. I don't usually like big stones but I love antique diamonds and an old mine cushion cut is really special. It's not an especially blingy choice like a modern brilliant cut. They were cut to sparkle under candlelight.

May I remind the sneerers that she is a literal billionaire. I like the yellow gold. It matches her Cartier Panthère!

Absolutely no idea about the provenance of the stone.

As per my pp the ring is “new” and designed for the occasion but it could be either an existing stone that the designer incorporated or specifically cut for the design.

Mine is a Princess Di a like, but in gold and an almost black sapphire. Normally not my style but it's a family ring and I couldn't imagine wearing anything else. I don't catch on it much at all, you do get used to it!

I agree. It’s a beautiful cut of diamond that makes such a large stone less ostentatious in my opinion.

It’s much flatter and has bigger facets making it less “bling” and actually more practical on a day to day basis as it’s more flush with your finger.

I like the yellow gold as well. The rings she was wearing in the podcast were yellow gold as well I think, it’s obviously her preferred colour.

KM has a Cartier but it’s a different model - a Ballon Bleu in steel.

Considerably less expensive than TS’s gold/steel/diamond Panthere.
